782 Restoration / Upgrade
Well there's no turning back now, It all started as a big oil leak on the remote oil line, then I noticed another from the rear seal, then I found 2 more leaks on the rear end. So I decided that it was time to restore. First is tearing it down , done!. Now it's time to clean and prep for paint. Rescue11 and I plan on adding another separate lift cylinder and hydraulic ports front and rear, power steering, super steer front axle, and some new bling. I have been wanting to do this for awhile I just needed an excuse. All comments / suggestions welcome please. Ic there is anthying I need to do or do better please let me know.

Well I welded up the trunion, it was a little gaped on both sides also added a few spacers to take out some wobble. Waiting on a set of O rings for the relief values and a new relief spring / cone. Already painted her up so the hydro will be put up and ready to go. I hope lol. Cleaned out the trany, what a mess! Now to preasure was the frame and a few odds n ends then sand prime & Paint. :bash2:

Rock shaft? Given all the posts of stuck or bent shafts, I would want to tear that apart to clean up as well. Now you may have been in there recently and I am not aware. But being apart I would certainly check it out.
|
I'm sorry what do you mean.
|
The lift assembly in the center of the frame. That pivot can bend or the pins can bend or some just rust into one unit. Really. Just that it will come apart in the future.
|
No to worried it has a cat 0 3pt.
|
Looking good, try not to paint parts that were never intended to be.
|
It usually gets tweaked due to a front lift like a blade. Not via the rear lift. That is what got mine.
|
The new red paint is looking good!
|
Finished up the engine rebuild and painted it. Most of the small parts are painted. The Dash turned out great. Found a post where he used LED lights on the back of the seat pan. I liked the idea so did the same thing there bright as heck. Hope to get the hydraulics done this week.

Looking good.

Yea well me to. Lol still have all the hydraulics we are adding a JD H3 spool valve, separate cylinder for the rear, and a 12volt solenoid so I can switch between the front and use an angle on my blade + be able to use all my hydraulics independently. Adding power steering and a super steer front axle. 2 extra ports on the rear just in case I need them later lol.
Also want to add a 982 type exuast. Should be a mean machine. If anyone has any suggestions please feel free to let me hear them. |
Looks great.:beer2:

Excellent job on the deck!
|
Rearend and frame are matched up and wheeles are on temporarily till I paint them. I painted the frame with black rino liner. I know its supposed to be red but I wanted it to be easy to clean and last.
|
Looking good! :beerchug:

Few more parts installed, so far I only had to cheat twice. And look at my manual
Once for the spring on the brakes and the other for the front cylinder. |
It's coming together nicely!

LAST? It will outlast you. & any grandchildren. Fantastic job your doing!:beerchug: Nik, |
Looks great with the red and black scheme!
|
On my super 682 I plan on doing a black frame but that's because I plan on making it look like a 5088.
|
I wasn't going to go with the lack frame, but I think the Rino liner will be a better choice and easier maintenance. Pluss I kind of like it. I also did the under side of the hood, fenders, and side panels.

Well I decided to put the 782 back together,:beatdeadhorse: and keep it mostly original. I'm getting a 1812 that need some work so Rescue11 made a good point in that it would be better to make the 1812 my work horse with the additions and keep the 782 original. the 782 has a special place in my heart ---MUSHY--- It was my first and is in great condition after the restoration. So with in the next week or so I will have the 782 back together and have my 1812 apart to start it's retro fit. Any thoughts??:bigthink:

Looks awsome! Cant wait to see completed pics! I think that black frame looks good!:beerchug:
