I forgot to add it is a 1966 I am the 4th owner it looks alot worse it person I plan to
have it restored by next summer. |
Nice 122 you have there, ljones! :beerchug:
|
Wild Bill-
That's looking as good or better than the 100 I restored. I hope you can find the time to finish that thing (it'd help if it quit snowing, wouldn't it?) because I can't wait to see it finished. At least you know the paint will be good and cured by the time you get around to using it...:biggrin2.gif: |
Thanks I just got it last weekend. I think it has some trash in the carb I know it has a
rustie gas tank it has a inline filter but it still isent geting the gas I am going to try the muneric acid to clean the tank. It also has a bad seal on the wright axel so Im going to have to replace that. |
Wild bill I noticed that your heatshield setup is different than mine did they chang them in 67

I guess I should post a few pics of my 1967 cub cadet 122. I found it at a local church for $50.00 , took it home cleaned the carburetor and have been in love with her ever since. I do have a deck for it but, had it off for my snow blade. I now have a QA36a snow thrower on it right now. This spring is clutch time and I got a deal on a creeper drive to attach as well.
|
I agree with Matt, Bill. I also can't wait to see your 122 finished! :beerchug:
|
Good looking tractors fellows....Bill that is looking good....Not about the time it takes its about knowing what you have when your done and the enjoyment of getting it there......:beerchug:

My 122
My first tractor. Although I first fell in love with the one year old 106 my dad bought MANY moons ago.
|
Great looking 122, mrjeep81! :beerchug:
|
I seen on cc specialties that you can buy a light blue or a dark blue headlight decal
which one is correct for my 122 |
Now that winter is almost over. I need to get some winter pics up on here. I guess I`m just trying to hold onto summer for as long as I can.
|
How can I test to see if my starter generator is charging it starts fine but I am
not shure it is charging or it may be the voltage regulator. |
|
So does that mean to ground it on the case or shell of the generator.
|
Yes it does, or anywhere else on the tractor where there is a good ground. Personally I like to test mine on the bench, but that's just me.
|
Wow, lots of 122's looking better than mine ever will! Good work everyone! Mine is destined to be a junk yard dog with a new heart.
Here she is before she had her heart ripped out: http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e3...22NewTires.jpg Here's her heart during the rebuild, getting a sheet metal test fit: http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e3...EngineBare.jpg Here's her heart with some school bus yeller slathered on it: http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e3...K301Engine.jpg I really need some warm weather. I've tried painting outside and bringing the parts in to dry. Really stinks up the shop. The self etching primer was really bad... I still have a lot of pieces to paint. |
them tires look nice rhoderman
|
I wish i had a worker
|
I can't believe the deals some of you guys find. I still have to pay high dollar for most of my tractors.
Greg |
I'm like loghouse, I get screwed every time I think about buying a new one...
