Picked Up A 122 Tonight!!

3 Attachment(s)
This morning during break at work I was browsing Craigslist as usual and spotted this 122. I called the guy and he said he did some plumbing work for an elderly women in exchange for this 122. She said her husband purchased the tractor brand new and after he passed away about 20 years ago it had just been sitting in the garage. So he brought it home, checked it all over and got it running. I made arrangements to go look at the tractor tonight after work and I am sure glad I did! This 122 is without a doubt all original including the paint! Also has the optional 16x6.50-8 front tires. Everything works including the mower deck as it should. I am also very surprised to see it has the original seat on it not to mention the condition of it. Attached are some pictures of the tractor when I stopped to get some gas on the way home and a few after I got it home. Sorry for some of the dark pictures but was getting dark by the time I got home. I hope everyone enjoys the pics!

Great find mrmiller! It pays to always be on the lookout, as you already know! Almost like turning back the clock.

Thank You Eric!! Your comments are very much appreciated. Makes me sad to look at those Originals now that I don't have them but sometimes you gotta do what is necessary and after all they are just tractors. Things are looking up now and I too am glad to be back in it!:beerchug:

Nick
When you get your license how do you expect to drive from the back seat, being your left handed and all that.
Martin, I see you have the later model 122 with the hydro fan mounting holes.

darkminion_17 04-17-2014 12:04 PM

How?
You are left armied

Yeah Lew, according to the serial # it is a 67 built in February I believe.

EricR 04-17-2014 09:56 PM

Very nice there Martin.
