104 and the loader
4 Attachment(s)
Well I have been working on getting this tractor since last August 2013. The guy in the picture, the one not in the grey shirt, is the original owner. this tractor was bought new buy his dad from a now out of business IH implement dealer in South Dakota. Roger the guy in the pic, has been using the tractor since day one on his dads pig farm. It took me a while to buy her, I had to buy the 124 also. did really want the 124 but they family had to stay together. was the only way I could get the loader. I came with original book and repair manual and sometime in 1971 his dad had bought a parts book. which is way cool it covers everything up till that time which was 70 thru the 147. the complete set of narrow frame tractors. I know I did get a deal like you east coast guys but this is a great find for my parts of the world.

Nice find. Glad to hear that once in a while someone out this direction lands a good one or two. Congratulations!!
Are you planning on taking anything to Huron for Red Power Roundup? |

Nice loader...looks like a job getting in there.
|
Yep they are going to the red power show, and they guy even delivered them to my house. I didn't even leave the driveway to get them.

Man that is awesome great scores! So school me on this loader,it doesn't look like it uses the narrow frame hydraulic pump and the fluid capacity wouldn't be enough anyway, so where is the pump? And reservoir? Do they run any kind of cooler for the fluid or no? I have a number of a guy who has a danco on a 129 that I want to go look at. Just don't know a lot about them.

Well this loader is sort of a big deal to me for the fact this a K&W loader. Or known as a Kwik Way loader. it has a continuous drive pump on the left side and the oil reserve tank is under the hood in front of the gas tank. But the big deal is, for me, that it was a Company that made these for the Tractor and it is a South Dakota based Company. So this tractor was bought in a south Dakota Ih dealer, had an Ih approved attachment that was built in South Dakota, sold to a South Dakota Farmer and the tractor has never left South Dakota. Sort of why I pushed so hard for this tractor. I take better pics of it tomorrow. by the time I got done with my 1st ride joy ride it was dark.

Wow awesome find man! I so want a loader. Congrats 😄😎

X4. Those are nice loaders. That top bar is for the self leveling bucket. Whatever position the bucket is in it stays in as you raise or lower it. Both of those machines look very nice. Great find.:beerchug:

Congrats on the loader and the 124!:beerchug:

Congrats on your finds!

LOL well this is a long story on this one. My wife is a crafty lady does quilts, part of a quilt guild. A lady in the club mom passed away and lived just around the corner from us. they have a garage sale my wife goes to while I was at work. she finds an old steelmaster card cabinet to match my 60's HON executive metal desk I have. she buys it for me and comes home to get the 2 wheel cart and some straps to drag it back home. goes back to the sale and the brother of the family sees my wife trying to get this home. takes it home for her and sees the other garden tractors and tells my wife he has 2 cub cadets that where his dads on the farm in Cavour. he don't use them and sees I collect them so he might be willing to sell them if they where not going to get parted out because they have family ties to him. so after months and months of talking he finally decides ya he will part with them. sends me a couple text pics and I tell him I am interested in them but not till spring has killed the snow. 3 weeks later he call and says I am coming to Huron I just bring them over to save you a trip. he had them out in rapid city at his farm and hauled them 375 miles to my door. so I hate to say it thanks to my wife I got these two tractors.

Nice! Thanks for the pics!:beerchug:
|
Very cool, but is it just me or does it look like it's a a pain in the butt to get on that thing??
|
Appreciate the extra pics!
|
no it aint you it is sort of a pain to get in and out of it. and it needs super steer on it. after driving the 71 with super steer and the snow plow, this needs super steer.
|
That is so cool. Thanks for the close ups, plenty of room for the reservoir and that pump although does the exhaust get the fluid super hot? And you have some A/C's and maybe a Simplicity it looks like too?
|
I have two Allis Chalmers 712S and a 712 Hydro. 1 Massey Ferguson 10. 1 simplicity 728 with a mid mount grader, tiller and a near new original deck. then I have another simplicity 7010 6 speed with a sickle and a front mount brush cutter, but she is a east coast rust bucket. And A allis Chalmers C but she is rough also.
