Nothing better than....

A bare motor block in your bathroom and most all of its parts in the kitchen.:biggrin2::biggrin2::biggrin2:

How many of your wifes allow this?!?!?

Used the parts washer (with purple power cleaner) in garage but due to cold i wanted to make sure all of the cleaner got washed off so I brought them in and rinsed parts in kitchen sink and block in shower. heheheeheh.

Its 7pm tonight and they are still sitting there. To cold to work in garage today and family xmas party today. Maybe tomarrow. But I doubt it.

The parts are going to go to father in laws on Wed probally to get a coat of rustolem primer on them. Its heated and he has a paint booth. Block will probally go too. Anyone want to donate to my heated shop fund?:beerchug:

Take care all and have a MERRY NEW YEAR!!!

John

My cub parts end up all over the house this time of year too! Maybe that's why I'm single:bigthink:

"How many of your wifes allow this?!?!?"

I'm not sure many of us would even try that to find out. :biggrin2:

I'm married and have a heated basement. I have five motorcycles, a 4000 lb lathe, a small milling machine and a couple drill presses there. But I am smart enough to weld in the shed :biggrin2:

If Momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy.

But if Poppa ain't happy, nobody cares

Wives? Plural? I have one, that's enough :beer2:

zippy1 12-30-2013 12:17 AM

Would I do that in the bathroom and kitchen? No!
Could I do that in the bathroom and kitchen? If I wanted to. Would the wife get ugly over it? For a little while, but she'd get over it like everything else:bigthink:

I can barely get away with having my lap top at the kitchen table theres no way I could get away with cub parts or any other parts in the kitchen, as far as the basement we were down cleaning and organizing it yesterday and of course it had to be her way so I'm sure I would never get a way with parts/projects down there either. She says I have a garage for that. True I do but her car is parked in there when I pointed that out I just got the look

"you can put whatever you want in the garage as long as my car can still go in there."

My wife barely lets me in the house. Cub parts, No way.

zippy1 12-31-2013 01:40 AM

You boys need to grow a pair:bigthink: Are you the man of the house, or mouse of the house. I mean, what would she do, take your birthday away? Take it, that means I'm the same age again next year.
Geez, never heard such a bunch so afraid of what your wives are going to think, or say. What ever happened to being the "King of the castle" my grandfather (rest his soul), my father and myself pretty much buy what we want and do what we please, in reason, and ain't nobody in the house going to say otherwise.
My wife is treated with respect, she buys what she wants without a question from me, it's her business not mine. And the same with me, and it'll be a cold day in heck when I won't do as I wish in OUR house, and worrying what my wife will think.

I agree with zippy you guys are pu*** whipped.

sawdustdad 01-01-2014 12:11 AM

She don't mess with my hobbies, I don't mess with hers. She's allergic to sawdust and don't like grease. It's my domain. She can have the house.

cubby102 01-01-2014 01:16 AM

Zippy hit the nail on the head. My house I do what I want. Also she does what she wants. Bills get paid we don't care who buys what. She tried that once with me when I bought my bike.... well I got the bike and she got over it. I rebuilt a sec in my living room once cuz it was to cold outside (shoulda seen us gettin it out once it was complete.) I guess I got lucky she don't hitch about to much

There is a thin line between bravery and stupidity... It all depends on how close to the line you want to get!

Just out of curiosity, why not use the DISHWASHER to clean the parts??

cubby102 01-02-2014 12:45 AM

Never thought of the dishwasher... I bet it would be a decent decrease. Hmmm if it wouldnt destroy it I'd try it myself

Wife bought me a parts washer so I wouldnt use the dishwasher. I already talked to her about that. :biggrin2::biggrin2::biggrin2:
I have "brass" but I do eat off the dishes that come out of the dishwasher and I would be the one having to foot the bill (out of my play funds) for a new dishwasher and would have to install it. So if using the dishwasher for cleaning parts is going to cost me WAY more money in the long run, Im gonna be smart on my own and not use it. Not because Im worried about wife having a problem with it.

John
