3 Attachment(s)
I got my rims back from sandblasting today. $50 for all 4. Got the first coat of paint on. Wow! They are going to look sweet!! Can't wait to get them mounted up.

Looks good, did you prime them?
|
I did not prime them.
I read somewhere with that appliance epoxy paint not to prime, it would lift. It also said clean and paint on the can. That's just how they are going to be for now... They were blasted today, and very low humidity also. 81 degrees today. They should last for a few years. |
They look good!
81 degrees and low humidity! Wow they would never rust anyway:) Was 7 degrees above zero last night and about 2 feet of snow on the ground. Regards, Chris |
The rims look great!

Good work!
Sandblasted rims always a good thing. Nice looking rims, and cant wait to see them together with the tires! I have to finish a two tone paint, and mount new tread for the 72.
thanks |
They look great!! When you get the new treads on and put them back on your tractor, it will change the whole look of it. Are you putting tubes in them? Last year when I saw all of the corrosion from the past without tubes, I make a point to always put tubes in when I replace with new ones. Keep up the great work. :IH Trusted Hand:

Hopefully they don't scratch them when mounting the tires.
Looking good though and not a bad price on the blasting. |
I'm putting tubes back in all 4 wheels. Hopefully, I will set the tires in the sun for a few hours, a lots of dish soap, and a little elbow grease, they will go together without much paint damage. Maybe a little masking tape.
