New look for the 2072

I had a couple of extra spare headlight rings and thought I would see what the 2072 would look like with them.I haven't completely made up my mind yet but they are growing on me.The grill frame needed to be replaced anyways so I figured it wolidnt hurt to try.It may appear like the lights are mounted a bit crooked but its just the reflection.

Thanks for the compliments. There are a few more changes that I need to do to complete it but I like them too.Now that I know what changes were needed to make it work,I'm gonna get another frame and do it right as Im not satisfied with how I had to do somethings.Life's a dance,we learn as we go.:bigthink:

J-Mech I didn't take any pics as I was doing it as I knew some things would have to be boo-rigged to make it work. The current grille frame had a broken mount bracket and I broke another one trying to drill a hole in it.After the holidays Im gonna get another grille frame and another mesh part of the grille and do it like it should be done. There are quiet a few mods that have to be made to the grille mounts and the headlight frames have to be recessed into the mesh part of the grille. Also the headlight frames have to be oriented correctly due to the screw patterns being different than the mounting brackets on the grille frame.Sorry about not taking pics but when you can't do it like its supposed to be done one certainly doesn't want to post pics of something boo-rigged.I really just wanted to see if it could be done and the current grille needed to be replaced anyways. So I figuered just as well try it,can't hurt something that's already broke.Ill take pics when I do it next time.Go ahead and do yours and you may have some better ways of doing it than the way I did it and I can make those changes to mine:beerchug:

Ok. Were the headlight rings from a 1X8/9 series? That's what they look like.

They are off of a 147 I used to have.

Looks great. I'd like to see some more pics of the whole tractor. I like the look of the ag tires all around, do you find it scars the yard when turning?

Cengleman, not at all but my yard isn't a golf courses either. The rears are 26x12x12 and the fronts are 18x8.50x8.Maybe this pic will show ya a bit more of the wheel and tire setup. Also I had extreme motor works make me four 10 1/2" wheels for the rear. The 8 1/2" wheels folded in the sides of the tires too much for my liking. If you search for some of my other post you will see more of it.
