Thanks Allen, that's what we're shooting for! :beerchug:

It's a leaking trunion shaft seal. Only been leaking for like a year . Finally forked over all of the $6 for the seal. I replaced it like 10 years ago. Should'a lasted longer than that. :biggrin2:

Just so everyone know, we got the tractor all back together and the blower mounted! Went out this am and started blowing, but as the day went, the snow got thicker as it melted. Got too wet to blow as it was just packing the auger before it ever made it into the impeller. So, switching over to the blade to run for the rest of the day. Pics later. :beerchug:

LOL! OK, OK....
I'm actually sitting here taking a break. Been "cubbin'" all day. Sheered the sheer pin on one of the augers twice today, second time it ripped the auger tube. Ordered a new auger from CC, $128. Could probably fix it, but the auger is pretty beat up, so I'll replace it, fix the old and save it for a spare. Then, the snow got too wet and was just packing the augers full and wouldn't feed.... So, back to the shop to put on the blade. Then had to fix a truck for a customer. Back to work on the cub. Had to make a new lift rod for the blade, flip the cutting edge and readjust the skid shoes. Ok, got that done, now its dark and I still have to clean one more lot, then mine....... and now it's cold enough to use the blower again, :bash2::bash2: so I just wasted time getting the blade on. Oh well, now it's ready to go. Think I'll just keep it on for tonight.

Anyways, here's some pics from today!

Here is the blade I picked up earlier this fall from Nickster, and the adjustable lift rod I made today. I already had a blade for the 1811, but I'm going to put it on the 125..... hopefully this weekend  Yeah, I threw the weights back on too. :biggrin2:

I AGREE! That's what the 125 is for...... when I get time to put it together  Have all the parts, but the snow beat me this time. Be ready next go around!! :beerchug:

Edited Note: I want my cab on too! Didn't have the time after fixing the rear end leak last night to put it on. I'm gettin' too old for this cold and wet crap.

J-Mech 12-06-2013 07:40 PM

Well, heading back out. I'll try and get my "action shot picture takerer" (aka Sabrina) to get some night shots! :biggrin2::biggrin2:

ACecil 12-06-2013 10:11 PM

Great pics, Jonathan! How much lift do you get, with the lift rod, you made?

Cubcrazy 12-07-2013 06:44 AM

Nice action shots Jonathan!:beerchug:

Thanks! Well, I made it adjustable because of putting it on different tractors, and because I need more flex to the low end pushing snow because of un-level drives, but when moving rock, I'd rather it lift higher. So, that said, right now it lifts between 4-4.5" but I think I could get just above 5" out of it. I also have it in the lower lift hole because I didn't want to take the blower lift rod off. :beerchug:

Ya know, I look forward to moving snow...... till it gets here. Then it gets wet and slushy, and cold..... then it gets old and sucks. Or you work late clearing just for it to snow all night and have to do it all over again in the am. :bash2:
