A guy I know was going to an auction there to bid on a car he saw online so I tagged along.This 70 to my surprise was there.Brought home the cub,but no car....
Motor is shot but I have a 10 to re-power it. Nice seat! |

Lew you were quite a ways from the fingerlakes. Prolly 50 or so miles. Next time you are up this way stop in. I live 45 miles north of Binghamton.

Yes that is Lake Cayuga but it is a long haul from Binghamton. Where abouts were you Lew. I work in Ithaca at Borg-Warner.

I was in Binghamton last week, Cubs & bowers U know how dem Jorsey guys is, anything north of Paramus & they think days, in Alaska. congrats on cub I got a 73 with 10 horse, strong machine ! LOL DaDuke:BB&YS::beerchug:

Worked on the 70 the last 2 days swapping out the blown motor for a good running one I had,it was a shortblock for an Original,but the dipstick came out the top.I removed the front pulley setup for the Original.
I had to swap over the oil pan,pto pulley,pto from the blown motor,rebuilt the carb,and put on the 3 pin driver,and replaced the broken bearing plate. Cut the grass today and ran like a top. Also picked up a box of brochures today and these were in it. |
The 70 is looking good. Cool brochures!
