Hey everyone, I have been watching this site since I bought my 125. Today I was mowing the grass and the drive shaft broke. It broke right where the pin goes. Is this a real pain to change and where can I find a new/used shaft for this. I do love my 125

I bet you do love that 125 with the hydraulics. Its a nice one! Check the sponsors for the drive shaft.

Since you need to replace it,take it out and get measurements. I can make a new one for you.

I make all kinds of parts http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=20875

The 125 is one of my favorites and I see you have a hydro lift on it,and a selector valve for front ports, great idea, like pancakes on a Sunday morning...Jeff does nice work.

Welcome to OCC.
Very nice looking 125, nicely optioned!
It's a fairly strait forward fix once you get the drive shaft.

Did you bust the drive shaft or did you break a spirol pin? It seems rather unlikely that the shaft would break. Either way, super nice 125.

I believe the shaft it self broke. First thought was the pin, but under further investigation the shaft appears broken.

Have to get together sometime, I'm up in Gillett.

Yes we will, you are not that far away!

I have been looking closer at this so I can take it part to fix it. How do I get the belt off that runs the deck? The lever that engages and disengages the clutch is in the way from what I can see. The reason I am asking is so when that belt fails and needs replacement I know how and also I want to drop the carriage to make it easier to work on. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
