Picked this up today when I went to look at the 2182.It is an 1810.Working on getting it running, missing a few bolts on the motor mount so this messed up the drive line.
What abuse...

No I did not Johnathan,Im got the 1810 running after cleaning the mouse nest out of it,carb, gas tank, changed the oil,put a good used fuel pump in it.,and replaced some bolts on the motor mounts that were missing, and I got it running, charges well, needs a muffler and of course a drive line.I need parts for my 1811 1211 and 582 so I will keep it as a donor, prolly sell the mag 18 though.:BlahBlah:

Sell the mag18 you say? If you decide to do that, I'd be interested in knowing more. just saying, good luck whatever you do. :beerchug:

I have recently acquired an 1810 that has thinned my hair. Reading this post made me want ask you something. What should the drive line look like. Mine seems to have a wobble and it pushes the engine forward slightly upon engagement of the PTO. The rubber discs are torn a bit but I am not sure where to start. I can move this request iffin you want.

Mcamp 04-04-2014 08:23 AM

sounds like your motor is not bolted down to the plate, the discs need replaced if torn, the driveshaft could be torn up from the eng. not being bolted down.

Herrbooten 04-04-2014 10:48 AM

Bout to tear into it right now!!!!Pics anyone?:ThumbsUp:

I believe that bushing came out of part #13 from this breakdown:

Should look something like this when new:

If you're missing any parts or anything is broken, it would be a good idea to replace it :beerchug:

J-Mech 04-04-2014 01:19 PM

Ryan (jimbob) is correct.

If your driveshaft looks like Lew's does at the top of this thread, get a new one. JeffinPA here on the site makes new shafts for a price that can't be beat! Check out his ad in the "Parts sources" section. He may need lengths, but he can make it. Your driveline has to be tight.

Ia agree with yall completely. The of the drive shaft looks as such....It needs to be changed I do believe.

Its amazing how these machines still kinda work even under duress and neglect. Precision sure has rubbed her golden locks on me.
