i sure am martin , i have to clean it up some more, but i started to polish up the chrome implement lift handle :beer2:
ok guys, i made a grill for the 800, i had a brand new wire grill that i primed, it was from the steel supply and was cut out to fit a cub cadet original, i cut it up with an angle grinder and cut a hole in it with a hole saw in my drill press, now it fits the muflfer neck out of the front of grill , i painted it black , and i only have one mounting spring clip , guess i will have to use a plastic zip tie, you could see where the old grill had busted off :bash2::beerchug: pics to come
Nick,
Congrats on bringing home the 800! We need some more pics of that badboy! |
Looking forward to some pics, Nick!
ok, thanks guys:beer2:
ok guys, heres the 800s new grill, i like it, but it was hard to cut the grill and the hole for the muffler because the grill is not really that flat , also started to pull some bends out of the back of the fender pan, and got rid of the ball hitch and started to straighten the hitch with a big pipe wrench , some one used it to pull boats and bent the hitch :bash2::beerchug:

Nick,
You did well on the 800. I've never seen one of those gas caps before. Thanks for giving us more looks of the tractor. Those rear tires look small. What size are they? |
thanks guys, idk josh, they are car tread lol :biggrin2:
800s new shoes
guys, put some new used shoes on the 800 today , they are taller than the funny car tires than were on it, ahh PO mods:biggrin2::beer2:

Them look better Nick!:beerchug:
I've always liked the looks of narrow front and rear tires on the wideframe cubs, especially the 86 and 800. My 86 had the narrow fronts and rears. Those tires look muuuuuuuuch better Nick!
i know, thanks guys:beer2:
The tires look good, Nick.
thanks allen, i know:biggrin2:
I hadn't noticed that the whole machine had the narrow tires. Don't see many wide frames with narrow all the way around. Looks MUCH better Nick!
