Sorry to hear that. Let us know what you find out.

what do y'all use to pull the spool piece on the out side of the flywheel? a steering wheel puller?
|
You may want to post engine questions in the engine area, I'm sure you will get more help.
|
OUCH! It was a sad day for me when my 1650 busted it's crank... :( I know your pain...
I'm not 100% sure what you're asking specifically, but for large puller jobs I bought one of these: http://www.amazon.com/OTC-6980-Heavy...eywords=puller It's a bit pricey, but it works insanely well. |
Ouch!! Sorry to hear about the bad news, but it may be an opportunity to do things right and have that peace of mind for the next 30-40 years! Seeing the bottle half empty or half full....:beer2::beer2::beer2:.....or heck, just being able to see the bottle at all after a while....Good luck!

I think my hub adapter slid right off. I did use a steering wheel puller to get the flywheel off. I don't see why you couldn't use it on the stuck hub too. I put som on blaster on the flywheel and let it sit overnight. It popped right off I'm the morning, got lucky.
