New guy with a 123

Hi guys just bought a 123 with hydro lift. I noticed that the pulley going off the motor that goes to hydro pump is showing the bolt threads. Anyone know where I can get a new pulley?

Also I tried to hook up the 38" mower deck.( Measured from blade to blade) and the cast iron part that holds the wheel is hitting the tire. Not sure how that works? Every picture I have seen show the wheels on the out side of the tires.

are you sure you have the correct cub cadet rear rims? other manufacturers had different dished rims. i know if you put a john deere rim on a cub cadet the tire will rub the fenders because its dished the wrong way...put a cub cadet rim on a john deere and you have a row crop looking tractor.

also what size tires are they? when i used to mow with my 122 i had 23-10.5 12 ag tires and when i would turn the little bit of slop in the mower deck mounts would let the mower deck wheels hit the tire and jump the deck.

That's exactly what I'm thinking. Would anyone be so kind and measure out side to outside tires??

Just going from memory, I believe that the 38" cast end decks are too narrow for much more than a 6-12 wheel and tire. One of my 70's and my 71 both have the 38" cast end deck and they each have 6-12 tires on them.

Just went and measured. On my 70 w/38" cast end deck, the wheel brackets (on the deck) measure 35-1/2" from outside to outside, from outside to outside on the 6-12 tires measures 33".

Anything with 8.5 tires (providing they are on the correct wheels) will measure right at 36" (give or take a little between manufactures). Given that these decks "swing" back and forth a little (quite a bit actually), I believe you are going to be hard pressed to get anything on there as wide as an 8.5...

Now... while I was looking, I have a 100 that has "wrong" wheels on it, (they have an odd offset and the valve stems are on the inside (Don't know, that's just how it was when I got it.)) they are 8.5s and measure 34 1/2" os to os. Something like that may work for you but I don't make any promises.

Did some more research and found a part number in the rim and googled it. It is the correct rim. The tire is a 23- 8.5-12. Is that a stock tire size?

Welcome to the forum! Looks like you have the best cub cadet that IH made....the 123. Nothing like a 123 with a hydro lift! Pictures would really be helpful if you post them, then helpful advice ususally follows or at least great comments. Looking forward to seeing your pics. This is my 123 with hydro lift.

According to the diagram I am running 6-12 rims with 23x8.5 tires on it . That's why it will not work. Thanks a bunch.

I will start a new tread on my tractor with pictures.

Anyone know where to get a coupling pulley?
