My second most expensive month is done

My wifes favorite month May, is more expensive then Dec, with our anniversary , her birthday, & mothers day she gets every thing. Mothers day started with me cooking breakfast then landscaping the front yard & dinner out , ( off easy) anniversary dinner out & start remodel the upstairs of the house, birth day..... Do the rest of the house , 1840's salt box this will never end ! Doors , windows insulation sheet rock , and now hard wood flooring through out, next will be kitchen & bath . Then a pellet stove in living room , finish date may 2015 ( i hope) time for cub? :beatdeadhorse:

Still working on the house; but now my who is expecting our 3 rd child has already said she wants to start " planning next years garden " ! I have already told her it will be bigger & better then this year , how ever i think we will have bitter mellon 'till this time 2020 ( canned, pickled & frozen) tomatoes till next year & chili peppers for probably the next 5 years ( frozen , pickled, canned & dried) plus we are still getting fresh !from our potted plants . I think our baby will be born with a red Butt & farting flames ! Last years garden was almost 1/3 of our back yard , this year ( because of a neighbor ) the garden trellises are going to be taller & we are also planting more sun flowers & corn again , along with our usual squash , zucchini, cucumbers , egg plant , peas , plus we are adding carrots, string beans , asparagus & more chili & bell peppers , plus , what ever will grow in the space left over ,
I think my wife wants to wear me out , so we can't " play "as much ! Yeah right:bigthink:

If it wasn't raining all weekend I would be planting next years garden! I put my garlic and onion sets in during the fall.

Congrats and good luck with your 3rd child. We had our first this summer and I had enough trouble keeping up with the harvesting and freezing. Couldn't imagine having 2 more in the mix!

wood pellets are expensive, look into anthracite coal, i heat my place with anthracite, costs me about 1000 a season to heat my 500 sq foot room to 70 and keep the 3200 sq ft garage at 55 all winter.......no smell, no smoke.......no fuel like an old fuel!

Well i think i should look into another project , a second bath with in the next 2-3 years, 3 females ; my son & I will be waiting a while !

It seems like the honey do list never ends. :biggrin2:

Anytime I mark 1 thing as done off the "honey do" list, I see Mrs. Cubby writing on 5 more......:bash2:

fpatd 04-17-2014 12:16 PM

Well I know the honey do list never ends..... But I wish she could only change her mind in the planning stages of things not when they are completed ...... Like can you take these 2 , 27x45" windows out & replace them with one 72x 41" window?
Keep in mind this is a bean pole/ balloon framed house from the 1840's , no headers, no fire cats , studs go from the foundation to the roofing timbers with out any breaks !
Time for creative thinking , .... She says this will be done !:bigthink:

cubby102 04-18-2014 02:38 AM
