4 digit Original
I spotted this at a dealer yesterday (closed) its a feb 61. It has collared spindles, early gen bracket, non slotted dash and no creeper hole. I didn't check for a thin axle:bash2: Anyways, I don't know if it runs or not, but it has a new carb on it and fenders:beerchug: Im gonna check it out this week if I can, if I can't get the whole tractor I might try to get the fenders:bigthink:

Good eyes too bad they drilled the holes too far forward. Duke, I sure hope I can work a deal out, the ser# is 2584. I noticed the holes for the lights too, the hood bird is good too but a PO hit the left side of the hood and pushed the grille back, then proceeded to cut the hood out to clear the steering wheel :bash2: |

Hope you're able to get the O, Ben!
|
Thanks for the offer Duke. :beerchug: I managed to stop by today and talk to the owner, he wants $450. What you guys think? It runs nice no smoke, and the fenders are straight, so does it sound reasonable?
|
This will make you sick! Spotted 2 O's on a trailer at a swap meet in Cedar Rapids Saturday afternoon later. Walked up to have a look and the guy said "sorry, they are sold" OK, so I asked how much did they go for?
Answer....Pair for $175 Dave S. |
it sounds reasonable but i would try to get it cheaper
|
Aren't the 3 and 4 digit originals considered "prototypes"??
|
I think it's a bit much IMO.
|
The prototypes were 401 to 411. 501 to 525 were test models. 526 to 589 were line setup units. 590 first production unit.
|
Ben that's a good price for a 4 digit. I get $200 for fenders and have seen them go for more then $300 on eBay.
Price is figured at location, condition and motivation of both the buyer and the seller. |
Well I worked out a deal on it! I think with a little cleaning It will look pretty good! You going to make plow day duke? It would be awesome if you could bring that hood and grille:beerchug:

Congrats on the O Ben!:beerchug:
