I see a Cub 982 in PA on Craigslist. It is non-running, but the guy is not asking too much in my opinion. I would have figured one of you would have got it by now. Is the 982 a problem tractor or what?:bigthink:

The 982 is a great tractor. It is IH's first SGT. The only draw back that some are concerned about, is the Onan engine in them. It can be pricey to overhaul if needed.

I was in Lancaster,pa on sat. for a fruit tree grafting work shop. I would like to buy it, but have concerns. Really don't have the money for it. But if it ran, might dig up a couple tin cans buried in the backyard. Everyone makes it sound like a super price, I just can't see 1000.00 for it. Guess I really don't know what these are worth.
