Cub 147

Hello all,

I recently stumbled upon a IH Cub cadet 147. I don't know what year it is all I know is that it is a 147. From my knowledge, everything works but the motor is being currently rebuilt. I only got it for $50 do to my friend and his uncle want to scrap it.

I was just wondering if I got a good deal?

Muzzy 03-03-2013 11:33 AM

That's a great deal!!! My 147 is a workhorse.

R Bedell 03-03-2013 11:35 AM

Welcome to our world. Hopefully your 147 is just the first of a series of saves for Cub Cadets on your part. Looking forward to pics of your save.

steveyrock 03-03-2013 07:41 PM

there's a couple of hundred in parts on that machine if it's in half decent shape, so at 50 bucks you could make a tidy profit if you decide to part it out.

even more if it runs and the hydro is good.

more yet if it looks nice.

rushlow122 03-04-2013 12:20 AM

to steveyrock

i was planning on keeping it and later on down the road doing a full restoration, but for know i am going to use it as a plowing and some what of a pulling tractor. at the moment it doesnt run but i am rebuilding the motor! should hopfully have the motor back tomorrow!

TheSaturnV 03-04-2013 01:23 AM

Awesome machine, that is the last of the narrow frames and a great collectible. At $125 I stole mine, and you should be in jail sir.

:biggrin2:
