was there a red O
I just got a 1963 O and when i striping it it seem like is was red back on the tras. and on the hood under the decals. is that just the primer or what ??:bigeyes:

So far my research only indicates the yellow and white ones. Maybe someone painted yours red and another PO repainted it back. The only red color I know of is inside the rear end.

The Cub Original was NEVER painted red from the factory. The red seen in the "cast iron" parts is this.....Glyptal
It was used as a sealer / primer. |
I could have swore that I read somewhere that IH built 30 O's that they painted red and white to experiment to see if they liked the red better than the yellow. If this is true most of them must have been painted over at the dealer (like they did the gold demos) to be yellow and white. I'll have to do some more research though.
