Q/L engine mounts help
 

What's the deal. I have 2 1650's, and there are some differences in them, even with the mounts.

What's what? Is one set better then the other?

I've also been looking at the mods some do to the mounts. What is the benefit of doing that? I see none....

The set on the left is correct. The set on the right has been mangled by a PO.
Doing the cradle mod stiffens the cradle and will help eliminate wear to the oil pan and bolts and ISO mounts.

so the set on the left have a set of sloted holes? the ones on the right had welded on solid mounts Ive cut off sence I took the pic.

if the ones on the right are modded why are the holes not the same with added holes?
Im saying the 3/8 holes are in diffrent spots. and see no sign of any holes welded closed.
could they be from a ccc/mtd tractor?

now looking at the link you posted , the mount pics in the link are the same as the ones on the right in my pic.

just looked at the hole link, the black set in the pics are the ones on my pic too. left

from the way I read the link the one I have on the left are CC-replacement mounts and the right of my pic is stock mounts

Sorry for the misunderstanding, LOL, I didn't even notice the engine mount holes, I was looking at the ISO mount holes..

My 1650 came with rails like the pair on the right. I welded the cross bar and then reinstalled the mounts-also used IH replacement iso mounts. I don't know if it's any better. This is my first QL. I'm taking the rail mod on faith at this point.
