Update everything is ready for prime except the fiber glass dash piece. I will work on it tomorrow and sand and repair a small crack and hope to have it in the paint booth friday night! Then all my white pieces will be primed and ready for some white paint the following friday!

Looking good. I have a can of that case ih primer and there are no specs or mixing info at all, i think it says mix with case ih reducer or something like that. What did u mix yours with and to what ratio? Thanks .Dave

I mixed 4 of primer and 1 of thinner (reducer) and 1 of valspar hardner to speed up the curing time 3 coats are plenty for me i will have to sand my fiber glass dash piece and prime again because the 1st 3 coats didnt fill the 180 scratches very well so this time i will 400 grit then prime

In person it looks like a creamy vanilla. I think the quiet line series white was more plain white. Some one correct me if im wrong please!

ACecil 02-17-2013 06:00 PM

The QL's were a plain white.

ACecil 03-09-2013 11:17 PM

Your parts are looking good! Thanks for showing us.

nailpounder 03-10-2013 01:49 AM

Looking real good! What white did you use first time and what did you use for your final coat? Trying to figure out what to use on my '75 1250. The underside of the hood looks like cream on mine and the inside of the wheel rims looks light almond. The outside of the white parts looks whiter but I assumed that was from weathering and oxidation.

Cubcrazy 03-10-2013 08:54 AM

Parts are looking real nice!:beerchug:
