he never said anything... but I see a 3 pt hitch in that bin in the last pic and he said "everything cub related goes with it" so I would assume it has a 3 pt.

ihcc104 01-07-2013 04:59 PM

A couple Pics of the Motor for the Second Cub...
It is a K161, but looks like one from a 70 with that PTO and basket on the front.

Cory,

Nice O's! Way to go! :beerchug:

darkminion_17 01-07-2013 06:23 PM

Looks like you beat me to it...I did call about it.
that other motor is for an original also.Hopefully you get the linkage to use the pto on a O.
Are you going to finish this one first being it is almost done?
Did he give you any extra paint to finish it?

Nice score :beerchug:

ihcc104 01-07-2013 06:37 PM

I think I am going to restore it first, he didn't say anything about extra paint, but we will see when I get there on Saturday!

Where does the linkage hook up to on an O?

darkminion_17 01-07-2013 06:51 PM

It attaches to the dash tower.I had a install instruction not sure where it is though.
Make sure you get all the cub stuff you can get your hands on.

I see the ad is still up.

ihcc104 01-07-2013 07:00 PM

I plan on it! And yes it is still up, but it is definitely sold.

ACecil 01-07-2013 10:05 PM

Awesome scores, Cory!

red56turbo 01-07-2013 10:34 PM

Nice score on the O's. The partially painted one has a ton of options. I agree with everyone else. Look for every cub part possible and load it all up. Nice!

zippy1 01-07-2013 11:45 PM

Great score Cory.
This one (two) should have great meaning to you, you beat Lew to them:biggrin2:

cub1450 01-08-2013 12:48 AM

Sweet score! Cant wait to see more pics of it!:beer2:

ihcc104 01-08-2013 09:32 AM

Thanks Everyone!

I was very happy when he Called back and said I was the first to call. I plan on scooping up every part available since he is a Wheel Horse guy and has no interest in Cubs and just wants to get rid of the yellow to buy more red! :bash: Haha

Methos 01-08-2013 09:35 AM

Cory Congrats! On the rear pto make sure the pto handle engages and disengages the rear pto shaft. Those are a pain to install and most are not installed correctly from what I've seen.:bash2:

Okay Thank you, I will definitely look at it, The way that this guy was going at this cub, he said everything was working and functioning properly... I am going to pick it up regardless, it is a great buy.

It's a easy fix it just takes time to get it installed right. The first one I did took me 3 hrs.:bash2: I took a pepsi break and went back out to the garage and it went in the first try. I would not let that be a deal breaker.

Well if it doesn't work, I know who to ask to get it going. :biggrin2::beerchug:

Well the guy backed out of them this morning when I was suppose to go and get them today. I am so totally sick of people like this... This is the second time with my second trip for Originals. I just don't understand why me. Anyways, I guess I wont need help with it afterall.

He said he just couldn't part with the one that was partly painted, so I told him he could keep both of them... I wouldn't have cared, If we hadn't made a deal - figures after I went out and got a trailer just so I could haul them both.

Cubcrazy 01-12-2013 08:53 AM

Yeah, that stinks!
It's a shame nobody holds to their word anymore.
Their will be others Cory!

ihcc104 01-12-2013 08:57 AM

Yeah, no one holds their word anymore. Well, I'm sure someone on here will pick that parts O up soon now that I'm not getting it, it was a great deal. Its not that I didn't still want it, but I am not dealing with people like that.

IACubCadet 01-12-2013 08:59 AM

Sorry to hear about that Cory. I knew you were pretty excited about them.

Cubcrazy 01-12-2013 08:59 AM

I don't blame you Cory.
I would have done the same thing after he got a few choice words from me!:biggrin2:

ihcc104 01-12-2013 09:06 AM

I will definitely be taking a break from Cubs for a while, I will be selling my 123.

cadzag72 01-12-2013 09:10 AM

Cory don't let one person ruin your love for this hobby. Don't start doing something that you might regret over one jerk.BTDT

red56turbo 01-12-2013 11:44 AM

Hey Cory,
I agree with the others, don't let guys like this ruin the hobby for you. For every bad apple, there are two good ones out there. Sorry to hear of your loss on the O's. If I were selling to ya, I would have honored my word. Case in point is I've got a guy picking up 4 cubs from me today. We made a deal over a month ago, no money changed hands, and he's coming today to pick them up. He lives in Nebraska and I in Iowa, so that's why I've been holding them. So there are still good guys and gals out there (forum members on here, :beerchug:).

Don't get down, you'll find another. :biggrin2:

Sam Mac 01-12-2013 12:34 PM

Cory

When I go to make a deal on a tractor or tractors I take Cash and the trailer and it’s we make a deal or See Ya. I find that when you wave the cash in front of them they are easier to deal with.

I wouldn’t let one jerk bum you out. He is not the only one in the world with an O for sale.

Mac
