Who's blowing/plowing snow...
1 Attachment(s)
We got 12 to 14 inches of snow over the last 24 hours.
The 72 got a workout. Thank god for those NF hydraulics! |
Nice pic and nice looking 72!:beerchug:
|
Nice 72. Hydraulics make plowing so much easier. Adding dual hydraulics to my 100 was the best thing for plowing snow. Now I never have to get off to angle the blade.
|
You're telling me. My blade is lifted with a lift lever (and NO spring assist I might ad)- after our snow fall on wednesday my right arm is soooooooooore. I am wishing I had hydraulics, or at least a spring.

Havent located chains for the Cubs so I am stuck using this. Gotta say tho, its a gem! |
Nice pic! Looks like it gets the job done! :beerchug:

Here is a pic of the driveway I do. I did some clean up after the storm we got on wednesday. It was rough around the edges and needed to look better- the driveway was getting smaller with each snowfall.
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...i/104_3028.jpg Here sits the 147 in all it's glory, waiting to be called on again. I can't believe how well it pushes the snow w/o weights (although I've got some on my wish list) and only at 1/2 throttle or less. http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...i/104_3030.jpg |
Looks like your neighbor could use your services.
|
Nice looking 147!
|
Yeah, I helped the lady next door (she's in her 60s and alone) last year, before I had my cub. Her driveway is concrete and VERY poor- we are talking about 4'X6' slabs cracked in different spots with anywhere between 1" to 12" height variations between them. Put it this way- she drives her Chevy malibu over it and bottoms out EVERY time. I'm not sure I want to subject my equipment to that. Plus the neighbor kid on the other side came over to help her shovel the large snowfall.

My Snow Fighters
1 Attachment(s)
Here are my snow fighters. I used them both yesterday. The 1650 definitely needs some weight on the back. I don't like spinning. I was movin' some serious snow, and that tractor threw stones 20' when it spun out. My dad was pretty pi$$ed when he saw a couple spin marks in our concrete driveway. I decided that I'm just going to stick to the stone turnaround driveway if I want to use the plow. I can't wait to get the 450 blower setup finished so I can set the blade aside.
The 682 is my pride and joy. My dad bought it new. That single stage thrower rips through even the wet stuff. |
here is a pic from yesterday pushing snow with my daughter on my lap on her tractor

Got a little seat time in today clearing off the parking area in front of my shop under the watchful eye of our collie, Sadie. She's never to far away when I get the 1450 out. Nothing like Cubs and Collies!!
|
I plowed saturday with my 70 . thats my workhorse .

Steve,my beagle loves following me while I am clearing snow. I think he thinks its a game to chase me around. I have always loved Collies, thats what I want for my next dog...

Nice 1450! Wish I had hydraulic lift! I had a collie. Great dog. When the kids were small, he stayed right with them when they played outside.

Collie's are like Cub Cadets. You just can't ask for anything better!! I've had Sadie since she was 8 weeks old and she's 13 years old now but still real spry! When I have to blow snow, I get the "BAD BOY" out but if we get a light snow, I have more fun with the 1450!!
|
My mother bred collies years ago when we were on the big farm. Judge, her male, saved my life when I was 4; kept me out of the creek when it was running full. As I remember it the dog scared me more than the water when he grabbed me and wouldnt let me near the water!
