Took a JD 345 to the JD shop and found this.
 

It was to late for pics tonight but I'll post them tomorrow afternoon. I took this 345 to the JD dealer for my neighbor.

I was wearing my cub 50th hat and was giving the service guy a hard time about the JD not wanting to start. He asked me if I knew anyone that was looking for a red IH cub and I sure I may know someone that will give it a good home. After waiting all week for pics I followed him home and was very happy with what I saw. It's a one owner and his grandpa pasted away in May and he collects big tractors and had no need for it. He was getting ready to list it on CL but never got around to it.

He said his grandpa replaced the engine with a Onan out of a 982.:bigeyes: I popped the hood and it's a clean install. We had to jump it off but it fired right away. I took it for a spin and had to load it on the trailer. I stopped by the car wash and rinsed the dust off it and I'm digging the shine on it.:beerchug: Evan had to sit on it and he's digging it as well. We'll see after he takes it for a spin tomorrow.

I don't have the full serial tag but here's the serial number, 678905. It's another red 782!:beer2: I got a small peco trailer vac and the 782. The only way I could be happier is if it had a D in the model number.:biggrin2:

Congratulations on the neat find. Looking forward to the pics. Man you never know what will happen when you break down and contaminate your trailer with green. I believe the cub gods were so sad they had to steer you right to that find.

Thank you all! I got some seat time on it today with the peco vac and very impressed! Adam made a video but it will be later on before he can post it. He's been slammed for the past week or so. Evan had a blast running it around the yard but he's not willing to part with his restored 125 for the 782. I wanted to save it and made sure it found a good home. I sent the setup home with Adam to do his leaves with. I hope he'll return it.:biggrin2:

Yeah he had about as good time as we did on it and nope possession is 9/10s of ownership i think ill have you come take it first! Lol.

It needs a bit of little's but ran really well for my yard and made me appreciate the 82 series for sure makes my hunt for the right priced 982 even stronger but got to move a few of what i have here first!

I've found a new home for the 782. It's not leaving the state and it's not ad Adam's place any more.:biggrin2: I've got a couple of small repairs to fix before I take it to it's new home this upcoming weekend.
