My New Original
I found this 63 Original in CL. Motor doesn't have any compression but is very straight. Also, has a rear PTO. Got tire chains and some other misc parts. http://i1057.photobucket.com/albums/...h/aeb1bd22.jpg

Nice Original. The rear PTO is just the icing on the cake. That will be a great restoration project. Congrats! :beer2:

I couldn't believe it when the guy told me on the phone that it had a rear pto on it for what he was asking for the tractor!
I'm going to restore it myself but only after I get done with my 63 Original that I'm working on now. I also have a 70 and a 100 in front of it for restoration. I found a belt pulley off a IH Cub that I would like to mount on it and eventually build a 20 qt ice cream maker and run it off my tractor. Talk about hard to find! This would put the pto to good use. |
nice find
i found one a couple years ago similar situation stuck exhausst valve and burnt head http://rolke.dyndns.org/ftp/Cub%20ca...%20(Small).JPG |

Agreed!
That WAS fast! It takes me longer than that to fix the gate on the privacy fence! Great job and awesome looking cub! |
wow nice job looks great:beerchug:
|
Man!
That's some really nice work.... and fast.
You need more hobbies and a bigger "job jar"....I'll NEVER catch up that fast! Congrats! How's it run? Did you have to go thru the engine? John |
The ags on the #2 are Carlisle. I bought some Goodyear ags for the rear of the tractor with some tri-ribs for the front but noticed how great the original tires were. This tractor even has he IH stamped lug nuts!
At first I thought the engine had no compression and would need some major work. Ends up, all it had was a stuck valve! Put a new float in the carburetor and a used muffler and that's all I did. I really need to thank my buddy Brad for the quick resto. He's the one with all the talent and has taught me so much about Cubs. I don't want to advertise that I did all of this myself and so quick. Btw- does anyone know the size of the IH decals that go on the #2? |
Looks good. You made quick work of it.:beerchug:
