It's brand new.... .05 hours. I've priced them on the web before, but never actually talked to a dealer. Drove by the other day and stopped and started talking, the guy said let me give you a quote just for giggles.... Well, I giggled when I saw it. Came home did my best "please, honey, love you, love you" for a couple days and brought it home last night!

Cubcrazy 06-23-2012 09:28 AM

Congrats Gary on the nice looking set up!:beerchug:

Gary Congrats! For the record you and Allen have the best wife's ever!:beerchug:

gcbailey 06-23-2012 10:28 PM

thanks guys, Sam, I don't consider it the dark side unless it has green paint! Not much difference in Cub and Kub if you say it fast enough! Besides, I think there are some Cubs with kubota engines...... :biggrin2:

Duke, I actually had found a SGT at a dealer about an hour away, he "only" wanted $4500 for it with a cracked side panel..... I think that helped give Kristy the motivation to say.... get something new.

Oak 06-23-2012 11:16 PM

Gary, you will love that Kubota. I've had mine for 11 years, put about 1100 hours on it and it has never broke down. It has the original fluids from the the engine back (probably not recomended) and the original belts on the deck. I've cut grass knee high with the belly mower and it never missed a beat. If you look at what a 1772 cost in 1989 and what 4 wheel drive Kubota cost today, the Kubota is a lot cheaper and 4 times the machine. Congrats bud!:beerchug:

Nice! We will getting a L3800 next spring. Kubota's are a good built tractor.my neighbor has a L3400 with a 6ft JD tiller. That is what i used to till the garden this year.It did a super job the tiller went 12inchs down!

ACecil 06-24-2012 12:54 AM

Congrats on your very nice Kubota, Gary!

gcbailey 06-24-2012 09:58 AM

I have found a problem with it..... I can't get my dad off of it! I've put .8 hours on it, he's put 3.2 hours on it! Somethings not right there...

Donovan M. 06-24-2012 12:23 PM

I know, what you mean, Gary. I love the power steering on the 1872!

Had a little storm damage last night. Lost a small apple tree. Good opportunity to use power tools. The old baby Stihl 015 and the BX made short work of it. Got it cleaned up early and then it was pool time. :biggrin2:

ACecil 06-30-2012 11:40 PM

Great pic, Sam! The Kubota is up for the job!
