Cub cadet 122 resto
 

Ok guys here the thread on the resto. Today i toke the fenders off and cleaned out the big mouse nest on the trans and degreased the trany and frame . Than split the tractor and once more degreased the trans. The paint looks great on the trans too! That is all i did today. I'll upload pics tomorrow.

Well i got some more stuff taken off today. My buddy helped me out with it got alot done but made a mess out of the shop tho lol! I also went thew the trans and clean all the nastyness out of it.

Well your really going to town on that 122. Nice to see another one coming apart to go back together. FYI don't forget to put your nuts and bolts in a marked zip lock to make it easier putting it back together.

I did some work on the hood and it has more pits than the moon! I Bondo the bad areas and i hope the primier fills in the rest. No time for pics but i'll have a vid up soon of it.:beer2:

I'm sorry i have not updated in a long time but i got the footrests painted and the hood done but you can see the bondo thew the paint! I'm going to get a other hood and get a seering coloum and wheel. I've been working that is y i have not worked on it in a long time but i found out that the place i work it is a Kohler dealer!:beer2: That means 10% off parts! Yes!
I'm going to done some more work tommow so i'll take some pics guys!

Here is a update. I got one fender primed and i started thinking about paint. I was going to go with CaseIH paint but i saw some were on the forum that Trasport Yellow from TSC is a match to Federal yellow. So what do you guys think i should use? I'm using a gun to paint but i bought a spay can of Transport to try it. I tryed it and it is about a match!

Well guys i toke a ride up to CubCrazy's today to buy some parts so i bought a 3pt,creeper,grille,brinly plow,manuel lift. The 122 is going be loaded now! Now for the pics!

Ok guys i have a update on the 122. I got the dash,trans in primer and i finilly used the boom to lift up the trans to paint it. It worked great i still don't trust it yet but it works good. Soon I'll have to make a trip up to CaseIH dealer to buy paint. How much is a gallon of Federal yellow?

I've got some updates on the 122. I got half the frame down to bare metaland drilled the holes fora hydro lift hehe:biggrin2:. I have vid i'm going to upload soon on it. I'm also going to ride up to the CaseIH dealer to get the paint and Hytran and filter for the 1812. It should be in paint next weekend than it's time to take to motor out to Lakota racing to get bored. It will be done soon!

I got the paint and reducer! It should be in paint by next week! went to
Napa to buy the reducer and the Qt is 14.99$ and the gallon is $51.99! I bought a Qt of CR233 med reducer. I'll have to have a day with low humity to paint.

sam you said you met mike/cubcrazy right he sounds like a good guy me and him are talking and i might buy his #2 cart i already have 2 of them but i want one thats not painted mine are both painted:beer2:

He is a nice guy. I saw the carts but i forget about looking at them lol. He has so much it's unreal! His place is super easy to find just look for cubs lol. I'll be going back up soon to get more parts lol! :biggrin2:
