Well finally found a local guy selling a Cub Cadet in my price range.
Runs good, no rust, no smoke,paint is a little faded but all parts are there i think.......

I'm new to the CC circle so not familiar with them at all. I searched the net but couldn't find info identifying my tractor. Here are the serial numbers for it.

engine= KT175 8252206
Deck=03200200155581

tractor came with deck and rear wheel weights only, i really want need a snow/dirt blade if anyone has one for sale.
thanks for any help/info. it will be greatly appreciated

Your 782 was made in June of 1980.

Post an add in the wanted section for your needs please.

Welcome to OCC, glad to have you here. :beerchug:

If your engine Spec number is 24300 or higher you have a KT17 type II. If lower it is a standard KT17.

Here is a link for the chassis service manual for your 782: http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=13226

and a link for the service manual for your engine: http://www.kohlerengines.com/onlinec.../tp_2043_a.pdf

Nice looking 782!

Methos 05-04-2012 09:08 AM

I had to resize your image it was to large.

red56turbo 05-04-2012 10:58 AM

Thanks for the pic! Looks to be a straight ole 782. I was wondering what was up with the hole in the hood as well. At least they did a nice job making the hole and didn't torch it out. Wheel weights and Lew's favorite seat..........

Guy I got it from said it was for a large air filter. Which makes sense being that the hole in right above it.
But for 500.00 delivered I think I did pretty well...cleaned it out today and it looks alot better than I though.

Quick question for you guys.
I have a Troybilt/Bolens plow 14079 with the sub frame 14078 can i fit this plow with out much modifications?

@ndre,
I think I saw that one on Craig's List. If I remember correctly, the asking price was more than you paid. Good luck with it.
I am down in Westchester County, near Croton on Hudson. I think you are the closest person to me on this forum.

Yeah he was asking 750.00 for it, would've had it for 400.00 if I picked it up Sunday but I don't own a truck.
Yeah you are about 30 minutes from me. Drive down to Westchester everyday to work.

Flatbedford 05-04-2012 08:58 PM

There are two guys on this forum who are not far from you and probably have have just about anything you want/need for the 782.

Post in the wanted section and you should hear from at least one of them soon.

thenrie 05-12-2012 01:18 PM

I think I'd stick a hood scoop on there to cover that hole, and just let people wonder...:biggrin2:

CubNub 05-12-2012 03:07 PM

I don't think I remember seeing that one on craigslist. Andre and Flatbed, I'm right in between you guys in Orange County, NY and I work even closer to you Flatbed in Rockland County (all over rockland, UPS driver). I too just picked up a 782 in Newburgh. Has a series I which I thought was seized but ended up just being stuck. Well she looks great and good luck with her! :beerchug:

Flatbedford 05-12-2012 03:48 PM

I can't remember if it was Hudson valley or New York Craig's list. It was up for a week or maybe even more.
Maybe we could do some kind of Lower Hudson get together?

CubNub 05-12-2012 07:55 PM

I looked on craigslist and the 782 is still on there, millerton i think. Did either of you get the free 782 from Connecticut? I'd be willing to get a NYer get together

Flatbedford 05-12-2012 08:06 PM

I missed the free one. Probably a good thing I did too!
