Congrats on your first Cub! |
Your 782 was made in June of 1980.
Post an add in the wanted section for your needs please. Welcome to OCC, glad to have you here. :beerchug: If your engine Spec number is 24300 or higher you have a KT17 type II. If lower it is a standard KT17. Here is a link for the chassis service manual for your 782: http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=13226 and a link for the service manual for your engine: http://www.kohlerengines.com/onlinec.../tp_2043_a.pdf and the engine owner's manual: http://www.kohlerengines.com/onlinec...2107_c_all.pdf |

Nice looking 782!
|
I had to resize your image it was to large.
|
Thanks for the pic! Looks to be a straight ole 782. I was wondering what was up with the hole in the hood as well. At least they did a nice job making the hole and didn't torch it out. Wheel weights and Lew's favorite seat..........

@ndre,
I think I saw that one on Craig's List. If I remember correctly, the asking price was more than you paid. Good luck with it. I am down in Westchester County, near Croton on Hudson. I think you are the closest person to me on this forum. |

Yeah you are about 30 minutes from me. Drive down to Westchester everyday to work. |
There are two guys on this forum who are not far from you and probably have have just about anything you want/need for the 782.
Post in the wanted section and you should hear from at least one of them soon. |
I think I'd stick a hood scoop on there to cover that hole, and just let people wonder...:biggrin2:
|
I don't think I remember seeing that one on craigslist. Andre and Flatbed, I'm right in between you guys in Orange County, NY and I work even closer to you Flatbed in Rockland County (all over rockland, UPS driver). I too just picked up a 782 in Newburgh. Has a series I which I thought was seized but ended up just being stuck. Well she looks great and good luck with her! :beerchug:

I can't remember if it was Hudson valley or New York Craig's list. It was up for a week or maybe even more.
Maybe we could do some kind of Lower Hudson get together? |
I looked on craigslist and the 782 is still on there, millerton i think. Did either of you get the free 782 from Connecticut? I'd be willing to get a NYer get together
|
I missed the free one. Probably a good thing I did too!
