I didnt expect to get much, but got my moneys worth. Payed $10 for the QA-42A snow thrower, $10 for the original frame a k301 and deck, and $10 for the other 2 k301's and 3 point hitch parts. I could of spent another $5 and came home with another truckload of parts. My buddy got a 149 with weights, chains, deck, and blade for $160, it also has the hydraulic lift. Some fresh gas and a jump and we were out mowing with it.

Great!
Lucky you. I seldom luck out like that ole 147 |
Wow! You should feel guilty!

Tater.
Super deals! When can I go with you?:biggrin2.gif: |
Wow! Nice haul...
You have almost enough parts there to put yourself together an Original. I was gonna start a new thread about the "deal" I got today... I bought 10 mower decks (mostly complete), 4 mule drives, 2 sets of plastic covered concrete wheel weights, 2 42" IH front blades (wide frame), a 123, a 124, and a 125 (all non running) the whole package... $200.00 But I think you did a little better than I did today... Have fun with your new toys. |
Looks like you had a great deal, as well, Yosemite Sam. :beerchug:

I did feel like I got a pretty good deal... Usually when I come home from buying something like that I have a hard time setting in the truck while wearing that wooden barrel.
|
You got a good deal there Yosemite Sam. I didn't know the pile of parts on the pallet was an original, I just wanted the motor that was sitting there. I've been wanting an original and this one is a good start. One axle is broke & second and third gear is out of it. Guess I should of spent another dollar for the crate full of extra parts(rear ends, steering parts, wheels...).
superduty5.9 if the snow thrower doesn't fit a wide frame then I might get rid of it. Anyone know what it fits, or do I need to take some measurements? My 108 isn't here right now. |
That thrower will basically fit anything except an original. It'll fit your 108 just fine.
|
I've been looking around some but can't find parts for the snowthrower. It needs a chain and some parts that turn the top. Everything else seems ok, but I might go through the whole thing. Anyone know where I can get some parts?
|
The chain is just chain...any good farm/hardware store would have it. If you need the U-joint for the chute rotator, get one from mcmaster-carr. Much better than the original stamped steel U-joint. I wish I could remember the part number....I bought one to put on my thrower. What are you trying to find?

I have the rod that turns the chute? but I'm missing the pieces that go where I marked on the picture. Also might put new bearings and sprockets on, whatever it needs to freshen it up.
