here is my 24'x30' its a little small , but it works. I say small because I still need to get my 68 firebird and 79 trans am in there. I'll be adding another 24x30 on the back, I hope this fall.

This is where my Cubs live...a three sided lean to on the side of our barn. My work area is right behind me in the pic. Id say its right around 16x36. Dirt floor, bad lighting, cold winters and hot summers. But, its got me through 5-6 overhauls, countless repair jobs, one repaint, implement attachments, cab mountings, and a great place to BS and hang out! It leaks when it rains and shakes when the wind blows but I still like it!

Nice shops guys. Some are jammed full of stuff about as much as mine is! Mine needs to be repainted and make it brighter, but it will do. I can't complain, at least I have a place to store and work on my stuff, I am not stuck out in a snowbank under a plastic tarp!

I'm still in the middle ot setting up shop in the new house. I'd like to get a ceiling put in, finish painting, and add a few more lights. It has it's own heat and central air so it's still nicer conditions than any shop I've had before.

Nice shop pics!:beer2:

Here's a progressive view of mine...... but this is only half of it.
Attachment 47217Attachment 47218 Attachment 47219Attachment 47220 The rear half is full. Not much to take pics of. Maybe later, when it gets warmer, and I move the stored stuff around, I'll post pics of it. It's not quite as big as the front half. |
Lots of room there Jonathan!:beerchug:

A couple pics of the inside of my shop. It was a horse barn with a dirt floor and a lean to shed on the side when I bought the place. :beerchug:

Here's a few pics of the "new" shop I have (since I moved over a year ago). A two stall garage, one side lofted. The big side (pictured) I can get farm tractors in up to the size of a 560 or so (with some room to spare). Otherwise it's a perfect Cub garage. Concrete floor throughout, woodstove heat, roll up doors, etc. A lot better than the shed I had posted about earlier in this thread!
|
Looks good Ryan, i need more room too.

Sam, You have too much empty space in that barn, need to fill it up with some more projects :) |

Lots of nice shops. Looking at pics like this helps give me ideas to make mine better.
When I started my cabinet parts business, I built a 16'x48' lean to with three 16' headers on the high side. I was planning on adding the main 40'x48' building later and I would only have 2 poles holding up that entire section. The 08' recession changed all that. Business fell off so much I eventually had to lay off the help, sell the equipment, and close the doors. I changed it over to a mechanic shop as time and money allowed. Nothing fancy, & not enough room to close the doors when I'm working on something, but I manage. I go from one extreme to the other. I let stuff pile up till I can't move, then I do a major cleanup. |
This is my 12 X 16 machine shop,
