Hello everybody
My name is Randy and i'm new to the forum.
I just purchased a 69. 125 over thanksgiving ser.# 305694
It is in good shape being that it's that old.
I got a few attachments with the deal. The motor has a bad rod.
Any way I have to say that OCC has the best site for Cub Cadet.
I have already down loaded all the manuals for the tractor and the attachments. I have rebuilt other brands and the cub has more information on the web than most. I'm a old school guy no plastic junk for me .
I love the iron and heavy duty, back to basic engineering.
I love old lawn tractors I have the cc125. a 76&73 mtd with 3 point hitches and a 65 swisher Big Mow. The attachments I got with the cub are a QA-42
snow thrower with the chute handle and lifting rod, a 42" plow blade with lifting rod and a 48" mower deck and under carraige all in good shape.
The tractor and all i spent $250
I think i didd'nt get hurt by no means. Anyway I look foward to meet you guys and share some stories and ideas on our projects. I live in the northwoods of Minnesota in Grand Rapids. It's not far from the icebox of America, International Falls. MN. thanks for a wonderful site.

A little time, a few parts, a lot of cleaning, lots of info from the other OCC members and these tractors will give lots of service for a low cost!!

Welcome to OCC and congrats on a great purchase with some really nice attachments. Hard to find a deal like that. From the pictures I believe your deck is a 42 inch. The 48 inch spindle covers only had one hole in each for the spindle grease fittings. The 42 and 38 used the two hole covers. But you can measure the blades across from end to end and that will tell the actual size. Looking forward to more pics. :beerchug:

cc125,
Very nice tractor. I think you will find this forum very helpful! I have!
great to get some accessories too. That should keep you busy for a few days.
Humm gets me thinking about the 125 down the road from me:)
1969 was a great year! I graduated from high school that year.

Chris

Thanks guys you have quite abit of knowledge about these cubs.
when i measured the mower deck i went from side to side and not the blades.
But you guys are good by just looking at a piece and knowing what it fits.
I did pick up a few parts at the junkyard off a 107. the front grill and the handle and shaft for the foward and reverse a exhaust heat shield and the buckle latches for the hood and the wire retainers that bolt to the gas tank bracket for 4 bucks the junk yard i go to sells scrap by the pound.
I have noticed that searching threw the forum not to many 125 owners.
Is the 125 not all that collectable? The 125 looks like a strong tractor.
I would like to know what type of hitch i could use for a three point or a sleve hitch. I have found many a cubs on CL.just wish I had more dollars to burn.

Go to our Technical libraries for both the Tractor and Implements and start downloading the manuals for everything you have including the Kohler motor. Read thru them and this will acquaint you with your machinery much better. The 125 is a great hydro tractor. All cubs are collectable but a few are more so than others.
