Mowed the yard for the first time of the year yesterday. I was out on the grounds at 9:00 AM raking sticks and leaves. Cleaned up a dead tree that I had cut down earlier this winter. Removed random trash from the woods around the lawn - we purchased this home last year and the grounds had not been touched in years!!! I moved over 3 wheelbarrows full of JUNK. I didn't get to actual grass cutting until 5:30 PM, but the Cub did a great job! I made a striper for it earlier (I posted it in here) and now I get to see it work:

The effect is better on the front yard where I have better grass (first 3 pics) and the back yard needs some seed and fertilizer to catch up, but still noticeable (last pic).

All and all I am happy.:biggrin2:

I mowed, pulled a trailer of wood down from the top of the hill for a small fire, towed my old craftsman to the top of the back yard from the garage, hauled a couple trailer loads of trash to my truck to take to the dump, and then blew the grass off, washed, blew it off again, greased it and parked it.

Glad to have her for a workhorse...

Not yet Lew. Spent four hours on the 1650 de-thatching the lawn at 36" swats... Boy I guess I was waiting for spring to come for a little seat time, but holy smoke...:bigthink:
Nother week or so for grass cutting.:beerchug:

Yesterday I mowed with the 1211 for the first time and was very pleased with how well it cut then I got my first real seat time of the year on my 108 pulling around the lawn sweeper, the rest of the day was spent cleaning the shed up to have room for two cubs and filling the pool.

Got the big deck under the 2284 after changing the engine oil, filter, completely greased, then cut the tall spots in the lawn. Finally some tractor time with my rear in the seat and not just repairing!
