What Allen said Duke!

aagitch 10-06-2011 07:41 PM

Got the 782 put back together and hooked the cat 0 plow up and did an initial setup per the manual. It handle the 12" cut nicely just a little bit of grunting but not bad for plowing a couple furrows on the back lawn. Nice 6 1/2 inch depth to boot. I didn't have to make any adjustments but we'll see when I get it in an actually field. Bad news is I can't have my rear mounted tool box on. The top link hits it in the full up position unless I take away a bunch of lift to the plow but then I won't get it up on the trailer. The toolbox will be in the for sale section soon. No damage to it since I was watching it while raising the lift. I think tomorrow I'll try dropping the top link to the bottom hole on the cat 0 and compensate by lengthing the link. Maybe then it won't hit it. I'll post a pic of the furrow soon. Good cub day.

I think I have found me a 12" Cat 0 plow. keeping my fingers crossed.

Man crossing one's fingers makes it hard to type! I'm hoping for the best for you!

ACecil 10-06-2011 11:49 PM

Good luck on the plow, DWayne! :beerchug:

Why not make a "hockey stick" shaped top link to fit under the box?:bigthink:

Definitely an option but looks like I won't need to after putting the top link in a different hole and resetting everything. It comes about 1/4 inch away from my tool box now with it at max lift. Here's a pic of my furrow and plow setup. Now all I'll need is a plowday to go to.

ACecil 10-07-2011 04:51 PM

Nice job, Adrian! Great pics. :beerchug:

_DX3_ 10-07-2011 05:29 PM

It's hard to quit plowing isn't it. I could easily plow up my whole yard, LOL.

aagitch 10-07-2011 07:18 PM

Don't think for a second I wasn't catching myself wanting to keep going the rest of the width of the yard and then heading back the other way. It took alot of will power to head for the shed.

Yesterday I got everything ready to battle the leaf season. Danny on the 582 for some reason decided to make a hard right turn and drove it straight into a hog wire fence, about tore the whole fence down! :biggrin2: I swear the boy can break an anvil! Gotta love that red spring in the tractor! Vince on the diesel is getting the hang of the vac system. I really wanted one on a trailer, but this one is nice cause you can back up easy. It will be like this till after Christmas. Now all I need to do is buy one of them fancy leaf blowers thats up in the show room, and Im set!

Diz Jr. 10-09-2011 10:09 AM

Great pictures of the lawn crew Vince_o

darkminion_17 10-09-2011 09:34 PM

Vince,
Your boys are growing into those cubs.I bet you can't wait till it is time for them to drive your truck!!!

ACecil 10-09-2011 10:34 PM

LOL Vince, we're kinda partial to that ol Sycamore. :biggrin2:

Vince_o 10-09-2011 10:59 PM

Lew I trust vince, Danny is the one that is crazy! Tonight he was running the diesel out in the hay field and he was sinning, making all sorts of hand jesters, bouncing up and down, ect. I asked Kathy " wonder whats going threw his head", she said some things are better not known! LOL Ask Allen, hes a hand full! Allen has plowed with him a few times.

ACecil 10-09-2011 11:24 PM

Oh yeah, Danny and I, have had some good times in the field! :beerchug:

HotDawg Cubs 10-13-2011 11:42 PM

I plowed the lower forty.

Naaw, baaaaad joke. I AM from the South, so do forgive.:biggrin2:

I loaned my "new" cub to a friend for an extended weekend endeavor. Hope it comes back unscathed :bash2:...........:beerchug:.............

I got my 1512 and 2072 out today. I mowed with the 2070 and hauled with the 1512. I hooked up both trailers and took some pic's.
