New to the forum
just picked upa new to me 3240 40th Anniversary last weekend with 244 hours on the clock. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...psa5336d73.jpg Have already put her to work mowing and hauling in some firewood http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...psd4640ff0.jpg she seems to have been well cared for and I am looking forward to putting many more hours on her. |
Welcome to OCC and congrats on the 3240!

Thanks guys
pretty happy with it so far. |
i have one of those. great machine, except mine has a governor problem, RPM shoots up to 4k or so. its internal so the engine has to be opened up.

Do you need a copy of the service manual for the engine? |

Hello from Indiana.
I just bought a 2072 yesterday. It came with a 60 Haban mowing deck and a brinly plow. It has about 800 hours and was well taken care of. I spent today straightening the control rods under the center cover. Apparently, the rag joint gave out and the drive shaft bent all the rods so they were all out of adjustment. http://i43.tinypic.com/2isxcbc.jpg http://i41.tinypic.com/t03vvc.jpg |
Nice 2072 you have there.

Welcome to OCC and nice super 2072!:beerchug:

Thanks, all. I took it out for a spin on the farm today. I figured I wouldn't get very far with unfilled turf tires in the snow, but didn't have any problems.
The ladies were really diggin it! |
Cool pic of the 2072 in the snow!

With 10-12" on the way, time to grab more firewood.

10"- 12" I'll take some of that so I can get some more seat time. We're only supposed to get 2"-4" that wont take long to clear.
By the way that's a nice looking cub, I like the front bumper also is that home made? |

It's was a dealer option beginning in 1995, I bought it used from a guy in Indiana. Little emory cloth and steel wool, primer and paint. I went with yellow because all the metal (except the front axle) on the tractor is yellow. ACecil: Thanks! What's up with the 1872? I had a hydro gear from a 1440 in my 1210 and plowed the driveway from H--L when I lived in CT never had a problem. I had a Corvette racer friend in Wilbraham. Kim Baker, haven't talked to him in years. |

This one was given to me. Didn't get time before the snow flew to work on it
so it's tarped up and covered with snow until spring. The motor doe's roll over so that is a big plus. |
