Steve
If I recall I found some screw on nuts that work on those plastic studs at Lowes. I may have some in the nut bin. I'll take a look. McMaster sells them. $11.00 and change for 100 http://www.mcmaster.com/#90533a135/=126dti8 |
Clean the CC script as clean as you can get it. Fold a couple of sheet of towel paper to make a pad and then spray it with a metallic blue paint. Press the script into the wet paint and you're in business with like new scripts.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I may have a source for the push nuts through an auto fastener store here in town. Home Dumpo did not have any this morning. Lowes was not even open yet. I happen to have two new Cub Cadet scripts but I like where you were going with how to paint them Mike McKown. Thanks for the suggestion. You know- working for a living really gets in the way of life's more important indulgences- like working on Cubs!!!!

I believe it is done. It's been quite a struggle.

The 1440 is gone down to road! Man that thing started and ran nice. Sadly I didn't hardly break even without figuring my time. Oh well. Good practice for working on the 2284 when the time comes. Thanks for all the help and advice everyone. |
