Well now..... a mis struck coin is often highly collectible and can be very valuable. A mis struck Cub Cadet original.... the seller in East Peoria might have something after all........:beerchug:

Well Shaggy and Scooby it looks like you have solved another mystery!

You guys should feel terrible about sucking the wind out of that poor guys sails.

On the "off chance" that he does get his price out of it... ALL of my O's are going up for sale!

I thought he seemed motivated to sell too. We discussed price a little..... I agree I think he'd let it go for less. I'm not interested either. It would have to be a lot cheaper for me. He said he has a blade, but I never asked about which one. I'd assume it's probably a later one. No deck, no options, no weights. I'm not giving my opinion on price, you guys always say that I'm low, but I haven't paid over $500 for any of the tractor I've bought except the 1811, but I've owned it for almost 15 years. Not even for the 185 Lo-Boy with 3pt!

Maybe. You should have head the phone conversation trying to convince him that IH hadn't even had a wet dream about making a cub cadet in 1958. He was ADAMANT that it was built in '58. I was like, "Dude, no, you don't understand...... they didn't start building them until 61! The prototypes were made in 1960." And he was like "No, this was made in 1958! We researched the serial number." ...... Yeah. The serial number that he couldn't locate until today when I sent him a pic of the side of an O with the serial number circled. :bash2::bash2:

I was pretty excited at one point when he found the serial number though, because he said over the phone that it was 5100. I thought, cool!! It's a 4 digit!! Then I got the pic, and realized he couldn't read numbers either..... Sigh.

In all honesty if I were looking and it were the correct blade and he said he had a deck for it just not there in peoria its in rock falls I do believe he said. But I would maybe go to 400 but thats only because I had to get right of the one I was restoring and I miss putting around on em. He seemed pretty cool about it though.
