Okay, where did those sweet looking hub caps come from? We need a part number or link for those. Great looking machine!

I picked them up on eBay a while ago. They were new and, unfortunately, his last set. I prefer the smoothies, but they were cheap. REALLY cheap compared to the IH ones. BTW, did those decals work for you?

Thanks to everyone for the kind words and compliments.

She's 99.9% done! I'm still waiting on the hood decals, hopefully they'll arrive Monday. I told you fellows there were a few more surprises, and here they are. The arm rests are for something else, but look correct enough for me, and the tool box came from Aaron at XMW. Actually, it and the seat were donated from a QL I built a year or two ago, and they were installed on the 1512, along with the hub caps and 3 point stuff. The alternator upgrade was done, and I used the stock-sized belt. The cooling fan did require a slightly shorter belt, since the pulley is for a 1/2" belt, and both came from McMaster. I loaded the headlights with some 100w bulbs, and I promise to get some night shots once it's finished. The rear tires contain 10 gallons each, and she now has new front wheel bearings. I also picked up a new battery from O'Reilly's, and she starts like a dream. Well, that's about it. I'll update once the decals get here, and get some more pics on here.

When you get some time I'd like to see some close ups on the alternator and some more info on what you used. As always this is one Killer build. :beerchug:

Thanks Sam, your kind words mean a lot, as do everyone else's. I used this standard mini, same guys the starter came from, and it came with a dyno sheet of sorts, showing almost 50 amps at 5,000 rpm. I had to grind a bit on the aluminum case, where it was making contact with the engine block, and made the lower spacer (3/4" thick, 5/16" and 3/8" holes, with a 1" center to center spacing). Basically copied what Andy did in his thread. Actually, I had replaced the bearings in my old dynamo and installed it, until he posted his fancy Denso unit. I hope this pic helps, if not, let me know.

Here's a better pic of the breather hose rerouting. I used the stock guide, just bent it a bit and relocated it, as well. Honestly, I'm not sure if anything done here wasn't "borrowed" from this forum, other than the wiring harness and the H-D headlights. Many thanks go out to everyone who gave me the ideas, help, parts, and inspiration for my dream grass killer. I doubt it will see much else, especially once I get it's sister built (982-4).
