Went over to a buddy's house and played around with the 2072.
I recently did some work on it including sending the relief valves off to be rebuilt at Machtech, putting new tubes in the rear tires and then loading them with windshield washer fluid and then relining the brakes with the lining mentioned on here from McMaster Carr. Also i adjusted the lift rod on the 54" Haban blade and tightened up the bottom pin and lift bolt adjuster. It used to only lift up about 3 or 4 inches, now it's more like 12" or so. Thanks so much for the advice and ideas from you all. It totally drives different between all the little tweaks. The relief valves make it way more snappy, the brakes make it stop, and the traction is worlds better with the tires loaded with fluid ballast. Being able to lift the blade more than a few inches makes it not hang up on every little stick or low spot. What a world of difference. So about my buddies house and the seat time - He lives on the a small lake in Central New York that was frozen over this winter maybe 8 to 10". With the warmer weather (finally) the lake has thawed out and the ice broke up but not without leaving what looks like dump truck loads of ice on the shore line. So i pushed some of the driftwood and ice around, mostly playing around and seeing if the blade was better than before. Drove right up on a 3 to 4' high pile of ice and pushed the top off and had him snap a pic with a bit of a grin on my face! Oh yeah - without a doubt. Now for the Pics: |
Way cool! :beerchug:
