I guess depending on how you look at it this qualifies as a tool. I bought a vehicle battery starter pack back in Sept just as a precaution. Jump ahead a bit and I'm sitting in line ready to set up at the antique radio show and when the gates opened the guy in front had a dead battery. Aha, time to test the new tool so I hooked it up, he hit the key, and the engine fired right up. OK, good enough for me so I bought a second one and now there's one in each vehicle. At $57 you can't beat it. It can even charge your phone.

I've had good luck with the Noco brand. It will be more than $57, tho.

After 60+ years with a manual calipers I jumped off a cliff and went modern. Brand new digital calipers. Does the standard OD, ID, and depth and in three measurements, mm, inch, and fractions. For $20 on Amazon I figured I wasn't risking much but I've used it a few times now and I'm liking it! :) Every measurement I've checked has been spot on.

I have had a Makita for prolly 30 years no problems
Only replaced a couple of 357 batteries.

But for precision work I still rely on various mikes of approiate sizes.

I saw this on Amazon the other day and for $30 I decided to give it a go. 3 positions for the chains plus the screw adjustment for fine tuning engine balance and 1,500 lb capacity. Works great with the electric winch I installed last year.

I have the same one on my chain hoist Radio. It makes pulling engines and other heavy stuff a little easier. I got mine at Hazard Freight but your deal was better.

Won a little Smithy 1324 IMX Granite 3n1 machine from auction. Looking forward to picking it up next week and making/modding some parts.
