Todd,
Getting caught up on your work. Which looks GREAT! I love the new paint (primer) and parts repaired or replaced when worn. If your still removing paint I used the Rustoleum Aircraft remover stripper. wire brushes on air grinder, cordless drill, and DA sander and lots of elbow grease too. On the center pin in the axle I was having problems too. I tipped the frame/axle upside down and the old pin just about fell out! What I found was that the worn area on the pin was holding the pin in place. That may not be your problem but worth a thought. You work looks top notch. I like that sand blaster. I would use something like that! This looks a lot like a full blown restoration to meeeeeeee! :) Regards, Chris |
I'd pull the shifter and see there's any missing teath in the part of the trans.

Thanks for the idea's guys. I'm pulling the shifter next week and see what I find there.
I and the wife both looked from the backend and there is nothing broken, so I just don't know, I'll check from the top end and see if anything shows up. Good news, I got my steering parts Fri. and the coupler for the drive shaft, LIFE IS GOOD, LIFE IS FINE. Went hunting tonight (this afternoon) and saw a couple does that would like to be introduced to my freezer, but not just yet. |
Wow Todd, You have a lot of nice new Cub parts to keep you busy for a day or to.
I have not seen a deer. Hunted to hours last night 2 this morning and snuck out again tonight till dark. Not a tail! Good luck filling the freezer! Regards, Chris |
