The ones on the right go in the 70. The motor is getting a few more ponies before it goes back in the 86. It's been fun having my Son out in the shop working with me. Back to the 70......... Motor needs shields and gas tank bracket installed: http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s...Dick/UD154.jpg http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s...Dick/UD155.jpg http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s...Dick/UD156.jpg Clutch driver was installed on the rear of the motor. To make sure the motor has a good ground I will remove the paint on the starter-generator bracket and where the bracket connects to block: http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s...ick/UD157a.jpg 70 has a battery ingition system. I removed the paint from the block and starter bracket above the "paint removed" lettering. Front pulley and PTO was installed. Motor is ready to be installed in 70. |

Motor installed in tractor: http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s...Dick/UD159.jpg This is how 70 looks when I quit for that night. http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s...Dick/UD161.jpg |
Your 70 is looking great, Dale! Thanks for the update. :beerchug:

I masked off the area where the throwout bearing rode, and then painted the rest...but the locking collar was hard to slide over all the paint.

Wiring is next

Carb and coil is installed next. http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s...Dick/UD166.jpg I used the owner's manual to show the correct routing of wire harness, throttle and choke cables. http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s...Dick/UD168.jpg |
Looking good. You've almost got it whooped. I hope my 100 looks half as nice when I get it done.

Really looks great Merk, :IH Trusted Hand:

Thanks Merk for the update. That 70 looks better than new. Is your sons clutch toast from pulling?
|
Merk GREAT job! :beerchug:
Thanks for the pics. I love to see them and their explanations. They inspire me to start working on stuff BUT my lack of experience really brings out my timidness. I am just afraid that once I get started and take something apart I'll get stuck and screw it up:crap: |
Awesome job so far! Keep it up!
