One of my best friends in high school lived on salford station rd, I'm familiar as well. Welcome to the forum!

If we get any more members from this area, I think we're obliged to play the Mennonite game. HaHa :biggrin2:

:biggrin2: First time I walked into Ralph's , I sat down and ordered a beer.

He walked up. looked at me and said " What year?"

I was thoroughly confused and said 1981 ( that's what year it was at the time )

Once again he said " What year?"

I was completely befuddled now and looked at the guy drinking next to me at the bar. He said " Ralph wants to know what year you were born" :beer2:

Yes, it is a very nice area. I was also at the show. Was a little disappointed at the limited amount of cub stuff for sale. I took some of my NOS stuff that I was going to try and trade but there was hardly anything good.

PaulS 10-04-2016 07:35 PM

Hey Jibber you are almost next door. EricR (my son) and I live about 17 miles down nittany valley on the way to Lock Haven.

Awesome! Would love to come check out your stuff sometime! Let me know if you ever come to State College and you can check out my stuff! :beerchug:

PaulS 10-05-2016 02:40 PM

Jibber we are in the process of building a Taj Ma Cub building/workshop and for the most part our stuff is a bit scattered between our sheds and garages. I'll let you know when we get things a bit more organized and you will be most welcome to come see our little herd. Some are terds at the moment but then we have been building and not fixing anything. Would love to come see your lot too. Although time is a bit limited at the moment.

Paul my wife is from Lock Haven If you ever bought a case of beer in town you had to buy it from her family. They own all the distributors.

Wow, its a small world! Happy Valley (aka State College, PA) is a great place to raise a family AND retire! Hopefully I can do both here. Already served my country, found a southern girl while stationed in Louisiana, and was able to convince her to move up here about 8 years ago. And now, three boys and two cubs later. Life is good.

Jibber I too am a military vet. 35 yrs of full time Air Guard service and retired with over 22 yrs active duty. Eric and I have a few more cubs. We have an original ( a four digit 1961 basic model), a 70, 2 102s, 2 149s, a 2072, a 2084 and a 2086. My runabout tractor is an old Jacobsen gt 10. We have mowers for most of these, a couple of blades, several snow blowers also. We also have some parts laying around. The steel building we are putting together is storage for them and a workshop in the one end.

Sweet! Would love to stop down and take a look around one day. And thank you for your service!

Will keep your request in mind. We are very busy at the moment but once a roofing project is over maybe we can set a date.

Cumberland county here. I just got a 1641. My worker tractor is also a Jacobsen GT10, with a K321 repower.

PaulS 01-27-2017 11:23 AM

Centre Cy here. I also have a Jacobsen GT 10. Yours appears to be repowered as mine has the original engine and is a K241 in it. It is our only non cadet in the flock.

Yes it is repowered, I repowered it. I had a good GT10 with a K241 fogger for an engine, and a rotting GT14 hydro with a good K321. So I swapped them out. The 14HP on the gear transmission is pretty sweet. Here I am dragging a log out to our fire pit to cut up for firewood.
