I finally got my son's pictures of his deer from this years hunt. This is the little rascals 3rd 8 point buck in two years! :bash2:

zippy1 12-06-2012 04:32 PM

Your son did well, congrats.:beerchug:

IliketheRedcubs 12-06-2012 05:12 PM

Thanks!! He's one lucky lucky lil' bugger!! He bested me by 6 this year... my deer was so small compared to his didn't even take pictures of it.

PaulS 12-06-2012 06:52 PM

Congratulations to all the successful hunters. My season so far has only resulted in one buck in Kansas and a small one at that but it is mine. I am like a couple of your guys I have shot so many deer in my life I don't recall all of them. I have killed at least 20 turkeys between here and Kansas. I am really looking forward to PA's late flintlock season though. Eric did not tell of the horrendous drag we had on his 6 point. He shot it at the top of a ridge and it ran all the way to the bottom which was the wrong way as the truck was back the top a ways. Man it was a steep drag but we made it with the help of my tree lounge tree stand made into a deer carrier. Deer drag so much easier with wheels under them.

Congrats to your son, Darrell!

How cool is that?

When I spotted my bobcat in Mo., it was about the same distance & watched it mousing the area.

Cool pics, Todd! You don't see Bobcats that often.

Their around, but not to many in our area.
I almost think it's a male following a female, because it's becoming breading season for them here, and the pictures were about 10 min. apart. Look like two different cats.

ACecil 12-30-2012 11:21 AM

We have them here, I've never seen one. They are so elusive.

WI State Hunting Show

4 Attachment(s)
We again put our booth up at the Wisconsin State Hunting Show in Green Bay.
It's a show that promotes the outdoor lifestyle. There's groups from all over the US and Canada. Our deer management group, the North East Wisconsin Deer Management Alliance sets up our booth with deer members harvested and our dealership for the Whitetail Institute at it every year for the last ten years.
This year we were across from Pat and Nicole from Driven TV, from the Outdoor channel, real nice people. Here's a couple pictures of the booth and a few of Nancy and I with Pat and Nicole.

Nice! Great looking deer on the wall.
Boy do I miss hunting. I used to live for it but haven't hunted in 3 or 4 years now.
Need to get back at it.
Great pics.

ACecil 02-23-2013 10:25 PM

Looking good, Todd! Thanks for sharing.

Great pics.

Why did you stop?
We would die, over half of our meals come from venison, prices in the stores now days for meat is crazy!
Hope you can get back into it.

Well it's done for another year, everything packed up and put away.

HELP, send bird seed pt.2

Had a few visitors by the house tonight robbing bird seed.
It's been a tough winter here for the deer and right now their trying to find food just about any place. They also have our white cedar trees ate up as high as they can get on their back legs.

Went out and retrieved the camera cards today and got a picture of a nice tom.
My season begins in two weeks:beerchug:

EricR 04-28-2013 08:35 PM

Very nice Todd. Our season started yesterday and I called a nice 2 year old in BUT I took my 11 year old daughter yesterday for the first time and I think she moved and that was game over. The season is still young and I do better later in the month anyway.

Took a pic of these two in the yard yesterday. Between the rabbits and the deer I think I have a wildlife preserve.

I saw a crow chasing a rabbit (full grown rabbit!) yesterday, something new for me.

Sam Mac, you need to
buy a salt lick,
buy a mineral block,
buy some cracked corn,

dig a pond,

plant some nut trees,
plant some berry bushes,

apple trees help, too. :bigthink:
