well. hey man, ya know. Super nice catch. Hope its worth the love of these machines. Like the Briggs/Straton motor up there. How many here think those are junk too/ ? Think I'd be looking for a 123 frame, though......for my self. Some nice ones for sure! {and parts} :HeeHee:

There's not much better ways to spend a day!

The closest I've come to something like that was when a buddy's G-Pa passed his son sold off his entire machine shop - I and a friend got first pick. When he opened up that door, I could only say "Ohhh . . . what's for sale?" He said "All of it".

We went through it for three days picking and choosing - he was giving us killer prices - 30 ton traversing hydraulic press $125.00 - Old school copper wound Lincoln welder and an entire refrigerator (converted to stick heater) full of rod $100.00 - the entire shop stock of metal (w 10ft 6 tier stepped rack) $75.00 - 4 ton notching shear $40.00 . . . the list goes on and I only wish I would of had the cash (and room) to buy it all!

Have a great time man!

Thanks I will! The prices didn't start out low but the moral of the story is if someone says I'd like to sell every thing ask how much! I've gotten 5 phone calls asking me how I talked him into selling everything and I said I asked how much!

I'd be suprised if there are any hydro units at all. He liked NF gear drives with round fenders. A perfect match for Jude.:beer2:

The man that builds his engines built this monster. It makes just over 87 hp!

hilltop, sounds like an awesome find. Would like to find a similar deal down the road someday to really hook up the cub shop.

John, the Briggs is a spare engine(i think) for the wheel horse that's in the deal.

Duke, I'm still blown away:Explode:. When he offered the whole collection for sale I about :Swear: my pants!! His collection is so perfect for my tastes:beer2:

Lew, I hope it's an early #, but with a hole in the frame for a creeper I can't get my hopes to high.

What do ya guys think about this 100?? Why is the hood rolled under?? Obviously to clear the steering wheel, but why?? Incorrect steering column, too short? Looks like hood is bolted correctly in the front:bigthink:

Could be that were the grill shroud bolts to the frame. The frame holes are cracked as mine were, and moved the hood back where it wouldn't open without rolling the hood back. Just a thought.

looks like it was run into something up front and bent the frame mounting holes for the front cast piece,or worse cracked the the frame, never mind that, what is that big hole in the frame for?

Sminkey 02-19-2011 10:02 PM

Good question, hack job there on the tunnel cover! Maybe there was a creeper on it, and po did that to install it or remove it:bigthink: That big hole and the hood are 2 big issues with that 100, good thing is 2 of the 100's are in mint condition. At least the fenders are in great shape on the butchered one:biggrin2:

This is the one that has the light decal installed upside down:confused2.gif" and a hole at the bottom of the grill at the bottom. Other then that it's a good looking 100. Some of the 100's have some funky seats.

And after talking to the former owner I think there is a 71 that I some how didn't get pictures of.:Duh: I'll get pics of the two off topic tractors when I'm there as well. Ahhh so much digging and discovering to do. I'm ready to start hualing some loads out of there!
