I believe MTD is interested in selling new complete machines. Not parts and not interested in customer loyalty as witnessed by them discontinuing many, many parts that aren't really that old and charging three prices for the ones that are still on the books.
Further testified to by the stuff they are selling today and calling them lawn/garden tractors. |

My guess is OCC type owners are MTD's worst nightmare. If we can't buy it new we get PO'd and make it ourselves. How do you like me now MTD? We have been forced to be like the Cubans keeping 1950's vintage Chebbys running :biggrin2: :beerchug: |
I have a 2082
I have the 2082 and really thinking about taking the 82' searies dash and parlaying the trim over my cyclops. I see people have talked about it but never seen a full pic of it with the tins on and how it looks when finished.
If it looks good i will have to find a 82 series and cyclops dash to do this woth. |
Same with the 2000 series and their flimsy steel. I’ve seen very few that are good. Mostly they’re mangled and rusted. Metal doesn’t just deteriorate like that. It’s poor care, carelessness
