I also think the white fenders are growing on me.
You're doing a great job, keep it up, looking forward to the finished tractor.

Measurements

I need to make sure that the tank doesn't interfere with it as we plan to add one to this tractor

I have an original with the rear lift, lift assist, and fenders. I am not clear on a measurement you are looking for. Fender mount pan to top of the cast lift when all the way up I follow. The horizontal I'm not following. Are you looking for the length of the connecting rod from the manual lift arm to the cast lift arm? I can get the measurements for you. Shoot me a PM with a description I can follow. You may have to write real slowly for that. :-) Anyway, What is that second measurement you need? The manual lift lever/arm? to what pan? I should be able to shoot you a few pics as well if you need them.

Wiring

4 Attachment(s)
Here are some shots of the wiring that we've been working on lately. Everything has been custom made, soldered, and heat shrunk. We've also tried to hide the wiring as much as possible with the starter circuit running under the tractor and up through the dash tower. The rest of the main harness should be hidden under the hood. The starter solenoid was hidden under the dash and if you look at the shot of the top of the battery, you can just see it under there. We still have an Ooga horn to mount which will be sounded by pushing the original starter button. We have stainless steel headlights and a single tail light to mount as well.

The keychain was an ebay buy, very reasonable.

How well did things line up with drive shaft and all?

happyhab 01-26-2012 11:25 AM

I don't foresee any issues. Originally I thought there might not be enough room, but it appears to be fitting. Probably the biggest alteration is going to be some notches in the hood to clear the valve covers. However, we are planning for some custom decals to note the addition of the Vanguard repower and may use the notches as a focal point.
