Here is my 2 owner (me being the second) 1811 getting ready to go to work this spring. I don’t use it much. I wish I had a larger property. It mows so level and smooth it’s insane... I still can’t believe it’s 31 years old! I made angle iron brackets to bolt on the back of the tractor so there would be no permanent modifications to the tractor itself to accept the newer MTD grass catcher system.
No leaks, no smoke, everything works 100%!!! :biggrin2: Man I wish these pictures would cooperate...:bash2: |
That 1811 is beautiful, I got mine from the original owner that took care of it as well. I just wish mine had a bigger deck, because the 44C is in my opinion not enough to make full use of the tractor's power in side discharge mowin.

Thank you very much! I am very proud to own it! It is getting ready to get new PTO bearings. One is making a slight hissing noise occasionally so it’s time... Yes, I agree with you. Mine has a 46” and I like that because of the capability of bagging with it but I’d like to have an original 50” for it and make it work for its gas! :biggrin2: I have a red 50” Deck from a much newer MTD Toro LX riding mower that I’ve been holding onto for a few years hoping to find time to see if I could even try and weld away on it to modify it to mount to the lift. I like accomplishing Frankenstein projects that actually work. |
Nice 1811, you have there!

Here is my new to me 1210 my wife's grandfather bought it new back in the late 80's. He mowed his little lawn down in Reading PA after he died some 15 years ago, it has sat in the back of a shed ever since with only 257 hours on the meter. My father in law picked it up last month and got it running like a top again. All that was needed was air in the tires and a carb cleaning and it fired right up. A new coat of paint and a five hour trip north and it has found its new home here in Western NY.

Nice looking 1210 and #2 cart. The story is great and I’m glad another can live on.
