Ok Duke. I couldnt resist trying to ride. Got about a 24 inch ride today. So, one pic is my smoky full choke cold start. It blows smoke rings, and runs like a hit miss engine. I tried to photograph rings, but it was warming up, and I lost my time window. One pic of all my tractors in the yard. 3 cubs and 3 craftsmans. I have 2 more cubs at my work. Finally, was my 24 inch burnout !
woo hoo! I know ... need chains. :beatdeadhorse:

I'm more of a GO BLUE fan myself but don't have anything bad to say about VT unless they visit Ann Arbor.:biggrin2.gif:

Not my Cub, but I thought I'd post it anyway.

IHCadet122 01-29-2011 01:04 PM

Here's my Cub. These are the first pics I'm posting of mine by the way. I used my blower on Thursday morning to clear the driveway. I still had my front walk to do, along with getting the tractor back up to the shed, which I did today. The blower is a QA42A, love it. I wish I could blow snow more often.

Before putting it to work today.

Great looking setup you've got there! Those tires chains look wicked. I like your cub home too. I see you got to cut the grass a little too.:biggrin2.gif: Thanks for sharing your pics with us.

hilltop 01-29-2011 01:54 PM

GREAT shots IHC! Thanks for sharing!

william1041200 01-29-2011 02:30 PM

Great Pics! Sweet chains! Get ready for Next week! Looks like we are gonna get more snow.

IHCadet122 01-29-2011 04:24 PM

The chains are pretty wicked. I need weight in the back though. I only have the wheel weights plus myself. I can still get the tires to spin and they do some damage to the driveway. I've got scrapes marks in plenty of places now.

johncub7172 01-29-2011 04:27 PM

Great tractor and blower! Love the before and after shots! Thanks!:biggrin2.gif:

nickvanorman 02-01-2011 08:01 PM

almost looks as if you could mow your yard with it too! seeing the grass shreds in the snow. hahaha

Here's another link to a vid I just made. Got a ton of snow here and it's still going strong:biggrin2:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zh3i8IicME0

I had to replace the gearbox on the thrower as the original one is a bit tweaked. In the pic the smaller gear has a good bit of rotational play, 1/4-3/8" of play and is causing the gearbox to make a serious racket when under load. Took the gearbox off the cw36 and it works much nicer, although now I see a u-joint needs replaced on that:beer2:

Did the driveway and it was nice to have a blower to loft the snow up and out of the way.

I also did a loop in the backyard to pull the kids around on their sleds with the tractor. It gives a good idea of the depth of the snow.

That tractor worked like a slave for 3 solid hours today with no complaints- best tractor I've ever owned (hopefully the only one I'll ever own).

Jude,
Nice video,
Stick that thrower on the 147.
then watch it throw 35 ft!

ACecil 02-02-2011 11:48 PM

Awesome vid and pics, Jude! :beerchug:

Thanks for showing us your nice pics, SD!

hilltop 02-03-2011 12:39 AM

Jude, You gotta go instructional on those vids - Real steady on the cam, just need to put in a bit of narration for us rookies! Do you get night blinded by the reflective light?

SD - Now that's what I call a real clean way of getting the job done - a great pic with those buildings in the back!

Thanks Lew & Allen:beerchug: I just took the 1st pic about 10 minutes ago and I've got a ton of seat time comin tomorrow:biggrin2: I put the oil bath and IH emblem on the new O'. Need to buy a choke cable bracket and hook up the throttle the way it should be and then it'll be good to go.

Thanks hilltop! lol, I'd do a little narrating, but don't think you can hear me over the tractor/thrower, without me looking like a complete fool yelling!! I love movin the snow at night, prefer it to the day. I'd be out there right now, but it's so peaceful I don't want to raise a rukus:biggrin2:

LOL Duke. Pretty good, that's it:bigthink::biggrin2:. Thanks Bud!!

Superglyde, I've been fortunate to find the cubs I've got, the 2nd Original I spent 12 hours in the car to get, and the one I just picked up took me 14!! So although I've found 3 of my cubs pretty close by, I've made some hauls to get the other one's. To me it's part of the thrill/adventure. Only 7 months into this addiction and obviously I've got a bit of an addictive personality:BlahBlah: Thanks for the compliments!!

Your welcome!

If he doesn't stop looking at CL and finding all these rare O's with creepers he's not going to have room to do the pick up at my place in April.:BlahBlah:

I feel the same way William:biggrin2: The past few days I've watched more of the weather channel than everything else combined, I get pretty bummed out when snow is forcasted and doesn't happen.

You asked for it (or at least a few), here is the video of my 7ft plow at work. Since it was dark, the camera had a tough time focusing at times.
