jimbob200521,
Nice looking 127! Your making good progress.
A good repair manual can be your best friend for one of these projects.
Regards,
Chris

Well, yesterday on the 4th I had the morning to tinker so I got the carb off, marked my screw turns, got it all taken apart, and cleaned cleaned cleaned. I have to say, this wasn't nearly as bad as I had thought going into it, actually pretty easy. All in all, everything inside and out is 1000% better. Things were so gummed up in there before, no wonder it wasn't working. Hopefully my parts (carb rebuild kit included) will arrive today and I can get this thing back on and going again! I was running out of cleaner and time so there are just a couple places where I couldn't get the paint off. I also did the fuel bowl while I had things apart, it probably needed it worse than the carb did :biggrin2:

Well a small update, I'm one step closer. I got my air cleaner parts in the mail today and cleaned them up some. I'm going to head to Tractor Supply tomorrow and pick up some CC Yellow paint and give the back plate a yellow paint job before I put her on the 127, I may do a couple other parts too but we'll see what the day brings. If I have time, I want to give the cover a coat of black while I'm at it, too. Anyway, here are a couple pics of the parts I got after a quick Carb Cleaner bath and scrub.

BTW, thank you to ksanders for responding to my wanted add and helping out with these parts, it's appreciated and I'll give 'em a good home!

Did a little more work today, spent the evening sanding and giving a couple rusty, rusty parts a quick paint job while they were off the 127. Not showroom quality by any means but far better than the rust covered monstrosities they were.

Another update, no pics tonight, though, but I did get a lot of work done, I'll have to get some pics taken and posted tomorrow.

I got my parts in today, finished rebuilding the carb and fuel bowl. Reinstalled the carb on the tractor along with the fuel bowl and new air cleaner and fuel line. Filled her with gas, turned the gas on, and no leaks, good so far! Drained the old oil, added fresh SAE 30, and closed things up. Moment of truth, drum roll please...I turned the key and dead battery. Darn. Ok, so I get it hooked up to jumper cables and turn the key once again. Fires right up!! For about 2 seconds and boom! Spark plug shoots out. I was afraid of that, I'm going to pick up my Helio-Coil tomorrow and unless something else pops up, I'll have some pics and video of her purring tomorrow for you guys.
