The old rings had a 1/4 end gap. Compared to new rings in second pic.

The engine is in place. I made the clutch cover from stainless.
http://i959.photobucket.com/albums/a...r/IMG_3997.jpg http://i959.photobucket.com/albums/a...r/IMG_3996.jpg I rebuilt and polished the carb. I made the top heat shield from 1/8" stainless. The old one was cracked, bent and had a piece missing. http://i959.photobucket.com/albums/a...r/IMG_4001.jpg Got the new decals on the engine. http://i959.photobucket.com/albums/a...r/IMG_4003.jpg |
At least it's drivable now. :beerchug:
http://i959.photobucket.com/albums/a...r/IMG_4002.jpg I love the way it looks from the rear. http://i959.photobucket.com/albums/a...r/IMG_4004.jpg Dads starter on it for now. http://i959.photobucket.com/albums/a...r/IMG_4005.jpg |

Thank You. The engine runs fantastic, instant throttle response and idles great. I'll probably put the 48" deck back on it tomorrow to see how well it will run it.
For now, I'm going to leave the hood and dash alone. I would like to do something custom. I'd like to go with black hood decals. My wife hates the blue. LOL I think black decals would look nicer also. |
Looks awesome! Love the V61's and the rear ags!
